My favorite cc.net memory has to be the support and prayers I received from so many posters, on the board and in emails, when my mom passed away a couple years ago. When it comes down to it, I consider each and every one of you my online friends.

Running a close second would be the OG crew of the Austin Rocketball Association meetings. Beforehand I really wasn't sure whether I wanted to meet you guys in person ;) but I had a great time hanging out with Clutch, RM95, BK, shanna/Major, etc.

I prefer the wives of the folks from that forum, but there's nothing wrong with what you do.

    1. hot-dogs/hamburgers/hoops at guttersnipe's place - meeting rockHEAD, mr_Oily, Crisco and his gal, Buck T and many other cool folks. My first CC.net meeting.

    2. Hooping with the guys at UH, Rice, GutterSnipe's apartments and the Smeg World Tour Hoop It Up at some school. :)

Some of the many hoopsters I recall: Kam, AntiSonic, Donnymost, goobers, Raven Lunatic, Rockets03, Buck Turgidson, B, Gutter Snipe, Puedlfor, ron413, CriscoKidd, Smeggy, T_J, Rocketeer, The Cat, heyp and many many more wanna-be nba players. ;)

    3. bbq/beer at Heyp's and meeting the guys like R2K, Giddyup, Rocketspimp, rm95, Manny, RIET/Mrs. RIET, AntiSonic, Lynus/Princess, Mrs. Smeg, Jeff, etc was awesome. Even TJ was a pretty cool guy..... at least in person he is.

if I left anyone out, sorry. It was great to meet everyone.

I've told a few friends about this site and reading their posts and the reactions to them is interesting. Figuring out I know a few folks here on the BBS from my youth is cool as well. All the unrestricted opinions you read in the D&D is a good thing for the most part, because there aren’t many places you can let your viewpoint fly anymore without some negative repercussions. And of course all my new B'BS' pals here at CC is just super great... ;)

I'm not familiar with that area, I live in Antioch, near the airport. I moved here for my job with Dell in 2000.

Nashvegas, I went to school with a girl who worked for Dell and moved to Nashville, even though I believe she's already moved back.

    Ever heard of Kelly Word?

It is essentially halfway between Nashville and Chattanooga.

Are you off exit 59, Hickory Hollow Parkway?

Smeg nailed it for me....the most personal Clutchfans story for me was hitting the possum with my van coming home from a game with Smeg and Mrs. Smeg....then taking pictures of the bloodstain the next night.

    Damn I loved that possum....:(

I guess mine would be bringing Drewdog, his buddy and donny g to the Hawks-Rockets game last year and watching drewdog dancing during a timeout. The ladies were hootin and hollarin. and the rest of us, including my bro at the other side of the arena, were laughing.

I had an awesome time meeting up at the Batman thing and the Astros-Rangers thing. Some of the nicest people I've met are from this site.

Now that I'll be in Houston, we better start doing this more often.

My personal favorite would have to be going to the game for Smeg's honeymoon trip. Seeing Behad, Smeg, Manny, R2K, Lynus, T_J, Mango, Batman, RIET, and others that I'm sure I'm forgetting. An absolute blast that needs to be a yearly event.

Of course, being caught naked in a hot tub after the game helps this particular event stick out, as well.
