Not sure about that Edie song. Although, I have to confess, she's been on my personal Classic Beauties list for a long time now.

 

The 80's seemed to be the Golden age for 1 hit wonders.

I once heard a radio debate about whether the Grateful Dead qualified as a "one hit wonder" because the only top 40 song they had was "Touch of Grey".

 

I didn't know that about either and figured I was the only person that even remembered the Alarm.

 

Haha, Saga! I remember thinking they could be the next Rush. Yeah, not so much....

When I was in high school, I wrote a percussion ensemble piece based on the keyboard solo in this song and the beginning of Changes by Yes.

 

Both of these recently performed at the Commonwealth Games
