Man, I'm into too many shows as it is to afford getting into another show. Therrrre's The O.C., Nip/Tuck, 24, Lost, Desperate Housewives, Alias, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Family Guy, Seinfeld, Scrubs, and Chappelle's Show. That's in no certain order also.
Unfortunately, that's about the only good thing. That and orca fat people realizing they really can lose that weight!
The Office so far has been as good as the BBC version.. well this season is much better than the first for me.. Extras on HBO has also been very good so far.. New South Parks will start soon, so that's the one I most look forward to..
The first two episodes of the Office had some of the funniest lines ever. The third episode came back down to earth, but they can't all be elevens.
I agree. I don't like the way they are trying to make us feel sorry for Carrell in what seems like every episode so far. I could also do without the office romance between the Pam and the dude.
Speaking of The Office. Here's an exerpt from Dwights blog: http://blogs.nbc.com/office/archives/archive_2005-w39.html THE INTERNET Hello everyone in the entire world. Dwight Schrute here with another blog entry. I am very excited by everyone who has posted things on my blog. I don't understand all the jokes and I won't pretend to. I don't understand the kind of humor everyone is using. I do appreciate all the people who seem to like me. They use words like "cool" and "awesome" and "hair-cut". Also, someone, posing as a woman perhaps, said that I was "strangely sexy". True. Too, too true. I am, however, not looking to date right now. I am focussed on my career and my hobbies. I could win saleman of the year this year and need to push paper. I need to make my clients feel like they are the most important people in the world (which they are!). I need to clean my desk. I need to go through my reports for any errors. I need to log in several hours on WORLD OF WARCRAFT until I can obtain a CRESTED HEATER SHIELD for my Dwarf Paladin, DAK SKRUT.I simply don't have time to date anyone of the opposite sex. Especially ones to be found on the internet (because generally they are less attractive). Also, there is a certain special someone who is stationed in Kuwait City from the Pennsylvania National Guard. This nameless woman may still be my "girlfriend". I'm not sure because she has re-upped three times in a row and seems to no longer have e-mail. Perhaps she'll read my blog when she's on shore leave. If she does, I hope she knows that I still have feelings for her and that I'm not mad any more. That is all. Dwight Schrute
Man I didn't even notice the "pity party" they were throwing for the boss. But you're right, they've done it every episode this season so far. As far as the office romance goes, that was a huge part of the original, and it was extremely well done. The problem with this one is that it'll probably end up being strung out for too long. British tv shows have way less episodes than US shows. The British Office was so compact, they just had 12 episodes, and a Christmas Special to tie up all the loose ends, and that was it. The romance played itself out quickly before it got boring. The American version will have a tough time figuring out how to make this storyline work with so many more episodes.
I think everything up to this point has been pretty plausible in Prison Break - it's definitely not as exagerrated or over the top as 24.
I am looking forward to the new seasons of "24" and "The Shield" later in the season.. Currently the new shows I am giving a chance this season are "Criminal Minds", "Threshold", and "Bones". I have enjoyed all 3 and hope they make the season. In particular "Criminal Minds", very entertaining show. In general, I am a fan of the crime dramas like CSIs/L&Os/Numbers etc, and not so much a fan of reality TV and dumbed down comedy shows.
