If you still have an NES, you can buy games at a local FuncoLand and online. I have to say that Tecmo Bowl is the most addictive game ever besides the Mario games. I happen to think Super Nintendo's Mario games were good, but nothing beats classic NES.
I dont know if anyone has mentioned it, but I always thought Rad Racer was a great racing game. It got really hard towards the end though, many countless lonely nights it took to beat that game.
BASKETBRAWL!! This game was awesome! How many other basketball games can you knock your opponent out and not get called for a foul!? Or pull his shorts down!?! Best basketball game ever! Mario 3 is still the best mario game ever! This one was so ahead of its time it aint even funny. Ice Hockey -- I loved getting the fat guys and having them beat up on the little skinny guys. What was that old game where you ahd the bald headed professor (looked kinda like einstein) and you had to move all those pipes up and down in order for him to go on to the next level? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was awesome, but I never could get past the part where you have to turn off all the bombs in the water.
How do i use them right? I shoot the walls down, then I shoot those glass things, but I never will have enough.
I've done it a million times. As long as you don't miss, you should have enough. Not every wall needs to be destroyed.
River City Ransom was fun. I enjoyed that game. Also, the bosses at the end was a good feature, Billy and Jimmy Lee.
Chip n Dales Rescue Ranger was fun too. Go rent it, or go find it at a store. I like Ikari Warriors too. I never figured how to beat it though. Have any of you guys played that?
I believe the name was Gyromite. I think it had a little robot hand that you could buy to control the pipes for you, since it was a two player game. Did anyone ever get this thing? This thread brings back memories.
I was gonna ask this question too. I need to hit game stops and other stores like that to find old nintendo games. Does anybody still have their old NES games?
dude, you just dusted off some cobwebs from a corner of my mind that hasn't been used in well over a decade! i totally forgot how much i loved this game and would play it all the time! i HAVE to go buy it now! man oh man, thanks for bringing back memories i forgot had existed!
what was that game where they had the super dodge ball characters but they were from rival schools? you played these track and field games with powerups, hurdles, swimming, pole vaulting on rooftops, and i think the last one was karate. it was fun as hell but i forgot the name. the best ever is contra, but i'm not as good as fadeaway. that's very impressive, no dying, no powerups. the megaman series is great my fav is 3 because i liked getting snakeman's powerup.
i totally forgot RBI baseball. nolan ryan and clemens were the bomb on that game, with the 101 mph heater. my dad and i must have atleast a thousand games played on there. that and racket attack.
I'll probably get ripped on for this, but does anybody remember Burger Time? I had a great time playing that game.
I had one of the NES systems that was sold with R.O.B. the robot and came with Gyromite and Duck Hunt. While the robot was pretty cool, it wasn't that useful in terms of gameplay. There was like one or two other games that used the robot that I never had. The downside was that you had to buy mario bros. separately. My favorite games were probably (in no particular order): Mike Tyson's Punchout RBI Baseball Rivercity Ransom Ice Hockey Mega Man 2 SMB 3 Adventures of Link
