My favorite NBA commercial was by Reebok. It was part of their "Defy" theme where they showed different things and for "Defy Gravity" they showed Francis jumping over the car.
I know this is not an NBA commercial, but the locals here in Houston might (or might not) appreciate this Reliant Energy one... I love the guy sitting (of course, by himself) in his livingroom watching a Rockets game and he's screaming at the TV...DEFENSE, DEFENSE... REBOUNDREBOUNDREBOUND...DIDJUSEETHATDIDJUSEETHATDIDJUSEETHAT. That guy cracks me up every time I see him. I think there's a bit of this guy in every true fanatic. There is one thing...I keep wondering if that guy actually posts on the BBS and who is he?
If Kobe's not in it, chances are I might like it. You'd think there are other players who can endorse a product. The guy's in every other commercial during NBA games (Sprite, Mickey D's....)
I like the Kobe Sprite commericals. They are funny! I still haven't seen a Jordan commercial that I actually liked, and he's done billions of them.
Are you all talking about that Kobe commercial where he does a 360 dunk from the free throw line? I always wondered how they did that one. It looked like he actually did that dunk...very fluid.
You didn't like the ones were Jordan and Bird were having a game of h-o-r-s-e and it went like "over the sign, one bounce on the freeway, past the grade school...nothin' but net."? Maybe you were too young.
He was dunkinng on an 8 foot rim, its the camera angle that makes it look higher. I was a pretty nasty dunker on an 8 foot rim too
boomboom - has to be the best Rocket commercial ever! "I'm sick of you, look at you!" Comes back to tv "Sorry...I didn't...I didn't mean that...
That's what I recall. And it was pulled quickly. Guess they should have used some disclaimer like the car commercials - "trained driver on closed course".
The Bill Murray ones were the best. "I'm ready to dominate". LOL. Also the ones in the barber shop with Gervin: "One thing I could do, was finger roll."
From what I remember some teen tried it and couldn't clear the car and was tripped up and slammed his face on it. And he didn't die. From what I remember the kid got the idea from Jackass.
I like those old school commercials from back in 92' like the If i can be like Mike...and the I think it was air deschutes commercial
