Good one. I would say the shot later when the T-Rex lets out a triumphant yell after destroying the place with the banner falling etc. down is badass.

One of my other favorites is Top Secret when the passenger at the train station chases down a moving tree next to the train for a ride. I don't know why I love that so much. It's just so ridiculous.

I was going to post that yesterday. :D

The scene in Untouchables when they go to the train station to pick up the mob's accountant. The baby carriage is clattering down the stairs, Ness has the shotgun and his sharpshooter is running in with a pair of pistols. Good stuff.

That part nearly puts me into tears. The good guys have almost been defeated yet Aragorn convinces Theodan to ride out one last time for Rohan. As they do here comes Gandalf and the riders of Rohan charging down the hillside to kick some Orc ass.

And about the T-Rex scene in Jurassic Park. I always wondered how that T-Rex got into the building without tearing down half the lobby.

That was the part of Jurassic Park that I liked the least. Having read the book, the movie, though good, was quite a letdown. They only cover about half of the stuff, and they made the T-Rex a hero instead of a constant threat. They barely touch on the fact that the dinos are breeding, and then do nothing with it, and in the end, they wrap everything up with a nice bow and all the people ride off into the sunset. They should have kept the second half of the book in there too, especially the part where the kids get Hammond killed.

Ted: OK wait. If you guys are really us, what number are we thinking of?
    Bill, Ted: 69, dudes.
    Bill, Ted: Whoa.

i love when Theoden says "The horn of Helm Hammerhand shall sound in the deep, one last time." In a moment of complete despair for the fighters, that just seems like such a cool and noble way to go out (if they had gone out that is). plus i love all the mythic stuff about LOTR (even though i've never read the books) and that huge horn just seems so cool.

    because he's a badass, that's how.

damn, i always thought that was such a great ending. having the T-Rex save the day, even if it wasn't in the book, is just so out there you couldn't see it coming.

to quote jim gaffigan responding to people who like the book better than the movie, "you know what i liked about the movie? no reading."

    Airplane -
the whole Kareem Abdul-Jabbar thing. Kid, "I know you, you're Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, I think you're the greatest, but my dad says you don't work hard enough on defense and sometimes you don't even run down court and that you don't really try, except during the playoffs." Kareem - "Listen kid, I've I've been hearing that crap ever since I was at UCLA, tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes a night."

There's so many more from this movie...possibly the BEST of ALL Time.

    Die Hard -
"I saw it on 60 minutes..." Alan Rickman

    Hoosiers -
"I'll make it!" - Jimmy Chitwood

    Planes, Trains and Automobiles -
The whole F'N movie! Another one of the BEST.

    Uncle Buck -
    Ditto - Same as above

    Scarface -
"Say Hello, to my little friend!"

    Dances with Wolves -
    "Ta Tonka" - K. Costner

    Bull Durham -
"From what I hear, you couldn't hit water if you fell out of a F'N boat"

    Raw -
Eddie Murphy (imitating Richard Pryor talking to Bill Cosby) "Tell, Bill I said have a Coke and a smile and shut the F*** up."
    "Jello, Puddin' eatin' Mother F***er"

Anything with Eddie Murphy, John Candy, Samuel Jackson or Leslie Nielson in it. I'm sure, I'll think of more later. :D

OK, seriously, I'll listen to whatever CD you want me to, if you'll just watch UHF.

    That's a fair bet, isn't it?

The words "especially the part" weren't a clue that maybe you should watch out for spoilers? :p
