For me, it's Action Sci-Fi. Terminator, Aliens, The Matrix...I'm a sucker and an apologist for this stuff.

Westerns. I suppose that's a sub-genre of action movies, but it's my favorite.

Scifi and Horror, I'll watch terrible movies from both simply because I hope I find a hidden gem.

    Sci-fi/Fantasy
All of the LotR movies and several of the Star Wars movies are in my top 10 of all time.

zombie movies to be exact. I will watch whatever turd of a zombie flick i catch.

sci/fi horror i get hooked on pretty easily no matter how horrible the writing/acting/graphics are.

Me too. I hate to even acknowledge the existence of the prequels but the originals are definitely on my list. LOTR was like nothing I'd ever experienced before in a movie. I really wish Hollywood would take the fantasy genre more seriously. There's a TON of source material they could pick from if they didn't have this mindset that it's all for kids. Lookin' at you, Harry Potter....

It seems like anime has a similar problem. No one in America takes it seriously as an art form; they see it and instantly go "that's a cartoon, and cartoons are for kids."
