Two that were missing from the list are Powder and Hope. Both partially filmed in Manvel, TX

Snippet: "Can you name the two movies made here? The movie “Powder” was partly filmed at the old school building and then the movie "Hope", which was Goldie Hawn’s directorial debut, at the old Manvel Bible Chapel location on King Street. "

That's correct, that's what they named your High School in the film. Check it out, you may enjoy it...and the Metro bus makes an appearance!

i can't really tell from the titles if this movie was listed, but I know there was one filmed at Stephen F Austin. It portrayed the school as predominantly black. Don't remember much about the plot.

    edit: n/m, Lardlad posted it.

Blood Simple or Terms of Endearment.

I take a lot of crap for not being into Wes Anderson, but I simply don't get it.

Reality Bites is one of my all time favorite movies. Top 5 easily.

ha, NS Alum here, class of 2000

a lot of my friends were in the scene where they showed the crowd with Bill Murray and that Dennis the Menace kid

I'd have to say either Rushmore or Arlington Road

wasn't Harland Williams' "Rocketman" also filmed here?

I'm going to go with "The Chase" with Charlie Sheen... I'm pretty sure the "main chase scene" on the highway was actually filmed on 290... the highway I've spent a majority of my driving years stuck in rush hour traffic on.

and it's anti-clutchfans not to vote for this movie.

Yeah, Reality Bites was missing from this list. From Wikipedia:

"The film was shot on location in Austin and Houston, Texas in 42 days. "

I thought a buddy of mine told me that Arlington Road had part of it filmed down the road from him in Magnolia.

I'm interested to know if I'm right or not...

No Urban Cowboy? No Bad News Bears in Breaking Training? Kids today, I tell ya....

    - The gas station where they danced to My Sharona in Reality Bites is the Chevron on Montrose and Dallas (where I occasionally get my Friday afternoon 32 oz.).

    - Max's Dad's barbershop in Rushmore is Doug's Barbershop on 11th street. I used to get my haircut there when I lived in the Heights.

    - The baseball field where the Bears are training in Bad News Bears in Breaking Training is Bayland park on Bissonnet. I used to play little league there when I was a kid. I once even reenacted Kelly Leak running down the main road after he got hassled by those mean Toros.
