Anyone remember the old Texas Tumbleweed? I've never found a good replacement for them.

I have another vote for Kanomwan. Best Thai food in town. The "service" is part of the charm. This place is a dive, and after you get to know the owner (who takes ALL of the orders and speaks little English), he starts to take on some charm himself. Besides, the place is BYOB.

I also give high marks to Damians, Aries, Benjy's, Boulevard Bistro, DAily Review, Goode Co's, PF Changs, Ninfa's and El Tiempo, and the best chain of chains ever: all things Pappa's.......especially the Pappa's seafood in Clear Lake.

Restaurants I like down where I work and live (Texas City and Pearland, respectively): Perry's Grille, Hot Wok (don't let the name fool you, it's very similar to PF Chang's), Hector's, Sesame House (in Dickinson), Thai Seafood, Bay Thai, Ichibon, Rudy and Paco's, Saltwater Grille, and Sky Bar.

And....my three favorite fast food places (in order):

    Taco Bell, Subway, and Sonic

I have no particular favorite. I like a lot of restaurants but if I go to one to often I tend to get sick of it. I'll just list a couple that I haven't been to in a long time cause I know I'm not sick of them right now.

    Humble Cafe

Lone Star Cafe - I use to eat there every time I went to the Guadeloupe river. I can't remember where it's located so I did a google search for a location and I couldn't find one in Texas. I was only getting location in Canada and New Zealand? I didn't know it was that big of a chain.

    my favorite burgers in town:

Lankford Grocery (easily the best on town, and don't forget a side of cheese enchiladas)
    Christians Totem
Rudyard's Pub (more of a bisto style, but delicious)

Roznovsky's and Bellaire Broiler are pretty good too.

Also, does anyone know if any decent Thai spots in the Humble/Kingwood area. Or any other under the radar type places in that area?

    Crazy Cajun!

Anyone have a favorite Cajun food Restaurant, especially in the Clear Lake area?

    Mine is Crazy Cajun

Also, I'm still looking for a decent replacement for Texas Tumbleweed.
