I feel bad in retrospect for forgetting Slash...I actually like him a lot. He was the only decent thing to come out of GnR.

as for the others....I had to double check names, especially for Tull, cause I couldnt remember the guys name...and I couldnt remember Tim Kelly's first name...old age will do that to ya. :p

btw..I agree about Mustaine...When Im in the mood for that kind of metal...very few can play with the ferocity and speed he does...

    Jimmy Page
    Frank Zappa
    Roy Buchanan
    John McLaughlin

Some of these guys are not the best technically, but being able to come up with hall of fame riffs like "Satisfaction" or "Won't Get Fooled Again" or "Cinnamon Girl" is more important than playing like a virtuoso and having a dry well artistically.

David Gilmour is the one i really enjoy listening to the most. He may not have the raw skills like Clapton and Jimmy but he plays stuff that is, for a lack of a better description, that i cant think of right now...beautiful.

    Other favorites of mine are:

    SRV
    Mark Knopfler
    Hendrix
    Clapton
    Jeff Beck
    Jimmy Paige
    Slash
