Emperor's New Groove is a pretty awesome flick now that you guys mention it, Patrick Warburton is amazing. Jungle Book also r0x0rs.
When it first came out, I didn't give Emperor's New Groove a consideration because I just hated the title. Then, one day, I was in Radio Shack and they were playing it on a TV (I didn't know what movie it was). So I watched the scene where they are trying to get back up the cliff and Kuzco the llama gets swung upside down and his face gets stuck in a small hole in the cliff side. He sees the bats and tries to scream, and in doing so, all the bats start flying out of the hole and into his mouth. I just about died laughing. Ever since, I've really enjoyed that film. It's also one of those films that, as you watch it more and more, you see more funny things in it that you hadn't noticed before. Great flick. -- droxford
Years ago, before Lion King and Finding Nemo (which would both be in my top 3) I watched a ton of Disney movies with a girlfriend at the time . I was surprised to find out that my favorite was easily Lady and the Tramp. It was actually the first time that I really watched it because I had always associated that corny spaghetti love scene with the movie and I was never interested. Anyway, after finally watching it, I decided that it was my favorite. Now, I wouldn't know between that, Lion King, and Finding Nemo. So, in no particular order Lady and the Tramp Lion King Finding Nemo
The Little Mermaid is my fav. I love the music. Lion King was tight, too. And Aladdin had amazing score.
1) robinhood 2) aladdin 3) lion king i actually kinda want to see the robinhood movie now that i've thought about it. it's been a long long time since i've seen it but i used to watch it over and over as a kid. if you can count the toy story movies those would be at the top too.
Anything with the Ashman/Menken songwriting team. Lion King ain't too shabby either. My favorite growing up was Pinochio. I must've watched that Beta a thousand times when I was little.
I'd like to see Song of the South again. I haven't seen Peter Pan or Robin Hood in a long time. I think I'd like to review the Pan women. Pirates and Indians are good. My girls like Cinderella best. I guess that Prince Charming curse will live another generation. Pocohontas is smoking hot. I keep hoping for her nude bathing scene where she makes out with another Native-American chick. Movie sux0rs, though. Everyone hates a preachy flick.
Does anyone know why Disney hasn't tried to make another big-budget animated feature? It seems like they come up with a blockbuster every year back in the 90s. But then it just stopped. I personally don't have a favorite. Pretty much a tie among Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, and Aladdin.
It's been re-released several times in the States, last time in 86. I saw it in the theaters. There's like zero chance of it being shown in the theaters again, not PC enough, but they might release it on DVD next year.
I loved that movie. My kid enjoys it now, also. One of the great things about kids is you get to remember your's a bit. Especially with old movies like this one. Passamaquody? I know.
