This show really does not get enough love, it launched a lot of talent. This is where I 1st saw and heard 80% of these comedians. When 1st I saw Bernie do his thing, I realized comedy would never be the same.
Bernie Mac puts on a full performance -- it's like watching a one man comedy play where even if the joke misses you're still entertained.
That's when I understood what commanding the room meant. It's the mantra I live my life by. I ain't scared of you MOTHER****ERS!
I used to watch it when it originally aired (I'm old). There was a lot of talent on that show, but you had to watch a lot of unfunny to sift through to find the funny.
Yea. . .but when you found gold. . .it was solid Some comedians . .. it was the best 10~15 minutes of their careers They could never top it Rocket River
My favorite is the one where people were laughing so hard that they got out of their seats and gesticulated wildly. Also, remember that one with Chris Rock? Fresh Prince laughed so hard he got up and smacked Chris Rock in the face! Good times.
lol... Hamburger Jones. I remember talking about that dude with some classmates back in the late 80s or early 90s.
yeah it’s on peacock I believe with the original DJ capri track and the breakdancing at the end of the show.
Martin made the show insanely hilarious.. I remember my cousins used to go to my grandmother's house ( cause she had cable) on Saturday nights just to see his opening sets... Some of the funniest comedians were the ones that didn't make it big.. Talent, DC Curry, Arnez J, and Tommy Chung just to name a few.. Eddie Griffin had the all time best set tho IMO
