For the past, I will have to go with Married with Children. For the present their is no question - The Family Guy.

I'm picking it up at lunch today.

One of my top three favorite sitcoms of all time.

Never got the recognition it deserved. :(

I'm pretty sure that Committed has been cancelled. Too bad. Except for Marni's annoying voice, I liked the show too. I liked the easygoing manner, and every once in a while they would break out a sinister piece of dark comedy.

    I also like SouthPark

any SNL after '87 or so

    Aqua Teen

    Family Guy

    Insomniac

    Arrested Development

    SHows that arent around

    Kids in the hall

    Upright Citizens Brigade

The Simpsons--it died a long time ago--

i loved Strangers With Candy! i also really liked Strip Mall. it took me a couple of episodes to "get it," but once i did, i couldn't stop watching.
also, Mr. Show would rank among my all-time faves.

currently, i only watch basketball and Aqua Teen Hunger Force (with the occasional Harvey Birdman, Sealab 2021, and Venture Brothers.)

I thought this thread was about current comedy series. Hence all the mentions of Curb Your Enthusiasm(which is a great show, BTW), yet none for Seinfeld.

    Best all time comedy?

    No question. It was Cheers.

I can still watch those episodes over and over again.

OK. I got ya. Curb Your Enthusiasm is good. A series I am really liking right now is Entourage. I don't know if you guys have seen it but the Val Kilmer and Gary Busey guest spots were hilarious.

    To A-Train-
While Seinfeld does receive a lot of acclaim, it is well deserved. No other sitcom can compare.
