Starbucks franchises are the real estate equivilant of the plague. I guarantee in 2 years, you won't be able to walk outside without seeing one. And yes, Starbucks is overpriced here as well. My favorite coffee isn't so much a 'bean type' as a brewing style. Whenever I go to a Middle Eastern restraunt, I can't leave without the coffee equivilant of hashish: 'Turkish Coffee'.
I hate people who hate things that are popular. Does anyone remember Brewster's? I don't know if it was national or just in Chicagoland, but when I lived up there, it was what got me loving coffee.
