Yup. The civet from Indonesia ingests the beans, they pass through the digestive tract, and come out "treated" from the other end. I've only tried a sip of it once, but I must admit: it was damn good coffee.
Hayes Valley. It is just a little walk-up on Linden, which is just like a little alley between Gough and Octavia. The beanery itself is in Oakland I think. You wait in line with smelly hipsters, but it is worth it. Or you go at a non-weekend time. espresso or coffee --> excellent
At coffee shops I usually get sugar free hazelnut or vanilla lattes, when I make it myself it's just regular old Folger's Half-Caff with cinnamon and vanilla soy milk. I'm trying to wean myself off caffeine a bit, it's hard. Especially when most of my favorite hot teas are also caffeinated.
I only drink coffee at work or when taking roadtrips and driving really late at night or really early in the morning, but the only thing I care about is that it's fairly cheap and has caffeine. I don't do the Starbucks or froo froo coffee.
