Actually, they were filmed in Spain. They're called spaghetti Westerns because most of the cast and crew were from Italy, as well as the director, composer, producer, etc. They were also produced by Italian companies. And the movie itself was filmed in two languages. The American actors delivered their lines in English and the Italian actors delivered their lines in Italian. When the movies were released, they dubbed English over the Italian parts to market in the USA, and they dubbed Italian over the English dialogue to market in Italy. This is why, when you see some of the actors deliver their lines, their lips don't fit the words. -- droxford

Do yourself a favor and go rent one of these three: Dirty Harry The Good, The Bad and the Ugly (caution: long movie) For a Few Dollars More Unforgiven While watching, remember: If many of the situations or dialogue seems cliche, remember that these movies were among the first (except Unforgiven), and other movies have fed off them for years.
