Memphis, TN - don't understand why most people think it's so cool, but I grew up there (so at least it's familiar) and my parents are there (so I don't have to pay for anything ). For those reasons, my favorite place to visit. Houston, of course. Hot Springs, AR Santa Barbara, CA Corpus Christi (which no one else seems to like) some which I probably like more because of family and friends there: Huntsville, AL Ogden, UT Denver, CO Don't like the really big, congested cities.
Other than Houston and Austin.... In the USA... New York City San Francisco Baltimore Philadelphia Chicago Boston Around the world... Mazatlan (Mexico) Jerusalem Vienna
My Favorite cities thus far: Monaco Toulon London Florence Rome Honolulu New York City Miami Key West San Francisco San Diego Las Vegas Kennebunkport Boston
I love where I live - Orlando. I've been all throughout the southeast and haven't found much that I've liked. I used to live in Asheville, NC, but it's too smoky (literally and figuratively) for my tastes. Don't care much for Tallahassee, where I go to school, but it's not all that bad. I've also visited Memphis, TN and Seattle. I haven't seen much of Memphis, but I'd settle for barbeque from there everyday. I love Seattle, though. The rolling terrain, forests, temperate climate, and an abundance of things to do all appeal to me. I've heard it and Las Vegas have some of the highest suicide rates in the world, though that doesn't change my opinion. If the Univ. of Wash. wasn't so far away from home, I would've strongly considered going there. Even nicer (aesthetically) is the Redmond area (and, yes, the Microsoft campus)....but it doesn't have the same feel to it as Seattle does.
