This is hilarious. I decide to give Babe's another shot. I'm waiting for my order at Babe's and I'm texting one of my friends. I tell her I'm at Babe's and she says something like "I got a coupon for Zaxby's in the mail". I'm thinking, I've never even heard of this place and today I see it posted on a forum and someone randomly tells me about it within minutes of each other... hilarious.

Anyway, I must revisit my earlier review of Babe's. I still like Popeye's more, but the chicken really is good if you like southern fried chicken. Get it fresh and it tastes great. They need a spicy version, though. :D As for the sides, the green beans are still waaaay too salty for my tastes - I can barely eat them. The corn (they call it "Grandma's Corn" which kinda scares me) was great. That's the one side I loved. The mashed potatoes and gravy are average. The biscuits are decent.

All-in-all, for a meal, it's pretty good. The food tasted better this visit than the last time I went a few years ago. I'll probably try Zaxby's sometime next week.

Sadly, I usually try staying away from desserts... lol. Maybe one day I'll try it.

I second Bush's. Good chicken. Glad they opened one in Round Rock to save me the drive up I35.

What's so funny about Timmy Chan's? I bet you can't find better fried wings in town.

I'm down with that. And, seriously, who doesn't order wings at Timmy Chan?

On Scott near UH. Cash only.

It's ostensibly a Chinese food place, but their Chinese food is mediocre at best. Their fried chicken wings, however, are out of this world. In fact, when I read the options for this poll, I immediately hit "Other" in favor of Timmy Chan.

Because, seriously, there's something wrong with you if you go to Timmy Chan and don't get wings.

The best fried chicken I've ever had was in Korea. They go absolutely bonkers over the stuff. KFC is like Starbucks over there. The best of the best is a large chain called BBQ chicken. Divine!

Just went to Abner's again; good if you're ever in Mississippi or parts of TN and run into one. Just had to post a picture of the fried goodness:

You know, I waited for an hour to get Frenchy's one evening. It was good, but not worth that kind of wait.
