The usual suspect sans Buck Turgidson who's been holed up in the Hill Country since my wedding. He'll be back on Sunday though. The game's not until 7:19 tomorrow, so no excuses.
I love bagel and lox. Einstein Bros. does a pretty kickass one. Can't wait to try the real thing when I go to NYC next year...
I don't see how people can eat donuts for breakfast and be satisfied. There is NO nutritional value in that thing. Mostly sucrose and grease, with a token amount of white bread buried somewhere deep in its fried center. If I'm going to be doing anything at all in the morning, I would rather have whole grain cereal, a bagel with peanut butter, or something egg-based. (protein is good) You can get a lot of frozen items like mini-omelets or hot pockets that contain eggs and don't take long to nuke. If I'm eating something based on white bread, at least it won't be fried. Donuts, on the other hand, make good desserts or late-night snacks. Especially if they're Bavarian cream filled.
I voted "Other"...how can you not have "Breakfast Burrito" on your initial list? ( I had one just this morning )
It's next to impossible to choose since I have 2 that stand out. I guess it would have to be hashbrowns since I can't eat breakfast without them (that is, if I'm not at home). The close second would be biscuits and gravy. Pugs
Best Breakfast Burrito: Soliz Casa De Tacos!!!! If ya'll haven't had a breakfast burrito from Soliz, you haven't lived. Get the Darlene w/ Sour Cream or Guacamole, hell, you can get just about anything there and it's unbelievable. Probably the only known hangover cure out there. Of course, I miss my Soliz since I'm in Austin.
who said there had to be nutritional value? i don't eat donuts often and i'm extremely picky with mine. SHIPLEY GLAZED DONUTS are the best!!!! whenever i go, i order 2 and a milk and i'm in heaven!!!
Aunt Bea's (I-45 & Tidwell) "Working Man's Breakfast." 2 eggs any style. Pancakes. Bacon. Hash browns. Sausage/Ham. Toast or English Muffin. All for like 5 bucks. Oh man...
In Stafford, unless I've got the wrong place. http://www.pickarestaurant.com/houston/morerestaurantinfo.asp?id=houst90087128
It's in the Sugar Land/Stafford area, on Dulles Avenue (right across the street from Dulles High School. It's really easy to get to if you live around there, let me know if you need directions. You won't regret it.
You're not in the SW. Get it straight! You're in the boonies. When there is a boonies restaurant location, let us know.
Argh, with the exception of cereal listed, I immediately think of clogged arteries when looking at the list. As for me its straight British Mueslix.
