A lot of times they don't have a choice. The fact is (and they hinted at this last night) that the contestants have a VERY limited list of songs that they can pick from due to problems with securing rights and permissions and junk like that. This limitation is the downfall of a lot of contestants in the past and it will be the same this year too.
Thanks Mulder, I didn't know that. Has anyone noticed that no one has done a Michael Jackson song this year. I mean, last year by this time, we had already heard him 5-10 times.
my mom, who loves the show, said that he's a disgrace to chinese people. my girlfriend, who is from hong kong, says that he reflects badly about hong kong. my take is... hey, there are more conceited people out there. he likes to have fun so what? give him some braces and voice training, and the right a mount of packaging, he could make it, at least in canto pop.
Was able to watch tonight's show. Looks like John Stevens sang himself onto the bubble. Camille and Jon Peter Louis are also on the bubble. Amy, meanwhile is a superstar. And he image is improving. I like her alot. La Toya looks more and more like a favorite, and man she is just beautiful. And he demanor is very good too. very classy. meanwhile... Fantasia... awesome voice... so much spunk who knows?
John Stevens sang himself into absolute obscurity last night. It's pretty bad when your champion and protector (Simon), whom has done nothing but prop you up all season, calls your performance "abysmal." Bye, bye Conan. We hardly knew ye...
American Idol is not gay. But the results show is pretty stupid. Why create so much drama? what's more stupid is that Amy got voted out. i thought she was the best singer. meanwhile, ridiculous contestants such as John Stevens and Diana live one. Amy definitely didn't deserve it. I guess it's because she didn't have a funky personality.
I did not get to see the show tonight so that is a little shocking to me. How the hell is howdy doody sticking around so long? Seriously, he really can't sing!
