I really don't get the radio head lovefest. At all. I think their music is very "eh"

Deckard, it's been one of my greatest regrets that I never got to see Mott the Hoople live. I would have truly killed to have seen that concert. I saw Ian Hunter a couple times and the ashes of Mott The Hoople 'Mott' having to backup Kiss before kiss was popular, but never the real deal.

I've long and often read positive mention of Ogdens Nut gone Flake, so I won't put it off any longer. I've got an Amazon gift certificate and will report back.

BTW a recent DVD (Documentary) of Mott The Hoople has just been released and I just got it yesterday. It's worth the wait.

Sweet, a couple of Cult mentions. I never would have made it through high school without Love and Electric. Two totally different albums by the same band. Yet both pretty much perfect.

LOL at Manny with his 60 favorite albums...

I understand the sentiment, and I agree that listing more than one is grounds for disqualifications, but as someone who listed several I understand that too.

One day someone could ask me my favorite album and it would be different than the next day.

What we post lasts for more than just one day, so it seems like listing a the albums that always rotate as favorites would be wise. I know it is against the rules, but there is some logic behind it. I'll live with whatever punishments breaking the list one rule brings forth.

I recently bought Audioslave's debut Audioslave at Half-Price a week back. I forgot just how truely enjoyable that record was from the days of my yute.

That being said I think Blood Sugar Sex Magik by the Red Hot Chili Peppers is one I listen to more than others.

NICE pick. Wouldn't have expected to see it here. Do you actually own a copy of that (original with the 45's?) I've seen the CD version in the 90's with several CD's in a tin, but I've never seen an original with the 45's.

No, all I have is the CD version and even then, it is the "Second Edition" version. And even though, I like "The Flowers of Romance" just as much, that group lost its creativity when Wobble left, IMO.

Yea, the loss of Jah Wobble definitely altered their sound - but I have to admit that the post-Wobble "The Order of Death" is one of my all-time favorite songs.

You're like a little DaDakota... making this thread about you... and we continue adding to that... haha...
