xtc is one of my all-time favorite bands and black sea is the album that introduced me to them. but my favorite xtc record would have to be...
Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon Rush - Moving Pictures Nas - Illmatic Bone Thugs - E 1999 Eternal Lifestyl - Mobstylfiggaz

Actually, yes- Budokan. It's the greatest live album to me because unlike most live albums, which are double, it was a single disc and all 10 songs are outstanding. it's in my top 10. I don't know if CT has ever made the all-time great non-live album- even ones like Heaven Tonight (On the Radio) and Dream Police (I Know What I Want) have had one or two so-so songs. However, they do have two of the best "sides" of all time- Side one of Heaven Tonight and side one of Dream police. If I combined those two, it would rank as my #2 all time.
Lola vs. Powerman by The Kinks Who by Numbers by The Who Wow- thank you, Batman, for recognizing Lola- and especially By Numbers. It's the most overlooked, intimate album the Who ever did- and it particularly stands out as one of their non-anthemic recordings.
Oh hell, I can't resist... The last album to truly sound like The Police (punk reggae power-trio) instead of Sting and his backup band. Recorded in only a month, the whole thing sounds like an extended demo tape. Which is why I love it so much. Every single track. Spoiler
