It seems we are deteriorating in to LOOKISM Where the reality is everyone is marketing advertising and selling themselves to the next person Fat people can have all the self esteem and self confidence in the world .. . . it won't mean sh** is the next person ain't trying to get with them Confident and Alone is the same as Self Conscious and Alone Confident can convince themselves that THEY are not the problem The Solution is simple - 1. Change you or 2. Change them TODAY - Most people appear to be in the CHANGE THEM mode No one want to change themselves. WHY SHOULD *I* CHANGE FOR THEM!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??! This is the level of confidence/arrogance/self-importance/ that is the model American "ACCEPT ME AS I AM!!!!! However I will require YOU to make a few changes." - The Modern Woman (Easy Target but I think most people do it not just women) (OK I'm pandering to my near all male audience here *grin* ) Rocket River
I think the problem is this. There is bias in our world. Race, gender, fat, ugly, short, awkward, boring, whatever - all lead to people getting judged negatively and many times unfairly. Something you can do about it. You can make laws against workplace discrimination. Ok. You can try to lose weight or get plastic surgery if you like. But ultimately, life is unfair. Some people don't want to date others for a myriad of superficial reasons. That's life. If you want people to see your inner beauty and look past all your superficial flaws, then your likely to be out of luck. Confidence isn't about thinking your too fat or not, confidence is not caring and being happy regardless. That's the difference between happy fat people and sad fat people. Sounds trite but if you accept yourself, then you don't have to worry about anyone else accepting you. Who gives a F? This has to be the greatest thing about getting older.
Being obese is hazardous to your health @AroundTheWorld @Commodore Instead of rewarding extremely obese people with a reality show , Hollywood and woke people should mention the dangers of being overweight
The whole idea of people worried about seeing obese people in ads and shows is not real. Ads, films and television that use gorgeous hot people aren't doing that because those people are more healthy. They are doing it for sex appeal. Most of those people are genetic freaks and many aren't healthy with eating disorders etc. It's fine to be upset at seeing heavy in ads because you don't like it, but let's not pretend it is a benefit to society that helps reward healthy people.
I feel there is a sane middle ground on this issue between thinking there’s nothing unhealthy about being fat and not getting how a culture of fat-shaming people can lead to unhealthy mental states and eating disorders.
Why are all the fat people mad that Brennan for winning an Oscar ? Because he wore a fat suit? Being morbidly obese is bad for his health , a fat suit is better than marvel CGI @Sweet Lou 4 2
What about all the chubby chasers out there? I just know there are a few flubber grubbers up in this b*tch. Y'all are thin-phobic, brah.
Don't feel bad - she looks alright in that video. There are certain advantages to heavier girls as well. Looks like we aren't fat phobic.
****... ever gone on a date to the movies with a fat girl? We are getting two popcorns, and I will leave it at that. Now, I will let a fat woman cook for me, they usually are talented.
This is the one trend that will actually 1) bankrupt our healthcare system and govt, obesity is related to the majority of health conditions (whether is primarily related or time to recovery) 2) will literally kill people Sure some people are more wired to be fat but it’s something we control. ts insanity people and NY are trying to ban fat shaming (which could be interpreted even in counseling)
