No one wants Beasley, heh. WojYahooNBA: For everything the Heat's tried to simply give him away, there isn't one team yet willing to take Michael Beasley into cap space.
From HW but nothing actually from HW: Beasley, Hamilton, Jefferson, Hinrich, Odom anyone? ----------------------------------------- Pat Riley is a very busy man as Chris Sheridan of ESPN.com explains. Riley has already shipped off the 18th pick and Daequan Cook and are now trying to negotiate a buyout with James Jones to free up another $2.8 million in cap space. He's also desperately trying to find a taker for Michael Beasley, but is having a hard time doing so. Riley has already put the HEAT in prime position to be major players this offseason with enough money to retain Wade, sign another max player, and add another player in the $10-11 million range. ----------------------------------------- Even though tonight is about the rookies, veterans often find themselves changing addresses as well. Ian Thomsen of Sports Illustrated writes that Al Jefferson, Richard Hamilton, and Kirk Hinrich are all available. Hamilton and Hinrich could be had for cap relief, while acquiring Jefferson would require serious talent headed Minnesota's way. The Los Angeles Times Mark Heisler is also reporting that Lamar Odom is available as the Lakers look to cut costs after winning their second consecutive championship. ------------------------------------------ Andy Katz of ESPN.com is reporting that the New Jersey Nets have settled back in on Derrick Favors after giving Wesley Johnson strong consideration. Katz goes on to explain that the Nets view Favors as the most tradable asset and could potentially move him as early as tonight. If they hold onto him Favors is a nice prospect to develop in the case that they can't lure a premier power forward over in free agency. Aran Smith has also tweeted that with the 31st pick New Jersey will go with Tiny Gallon. This adds up with what we've been hearing over the past week. New Jersey will almost certainly go power forward at 31, but prefer Brackins and Booker to Gallon. Problem is that they will likely be gone by that point. ^^^I'd consider. Some notes from Andy Katz and his top 15(fwiw): http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/blog/_/name/katz_andy/id/5323635/year-mature-draft-pick
Nah. The Wiz should have a nice guard rotation of Wall, Arenas, Hinrich. Both Arenas and Hinrich can play either guard position; and Wall is big enough to defend either position. Randy Foye may be a goner, though.
DraftExpress New Orleans - Oklahoma City trade (18+21 for 11) deal not going to happen I hear. OKC is talking to Memphis and Toronto about it now instead DraftExpress Two NBA teams I spoke with are operating under the assumption that Washington will be making the pick at 17. Elliot Williams may be the guy.
DraftExpress Houston is entertaining offers for the #14 pick. Initially planned on standing pat, but are intrigued by the offers they're getting now.
If the Rox can't trade up, I think they should move back. Henry, George, Babbitt, and Aldrich are all rated about the same. Might as well move back and gain another asset.
Wizards may offer a contract to Josh Childress http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=tsn-reportjoshchildressw
Clippers too reportedly putting their #8 pick on the market to clear cap space. For what reason? No idea http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/06/24/draft-nba-chatter-new-jersey-to-pick-favors-kings-not-hinrich/
