Damn, I love that movie. The best part of that clip was they were giving Michael Douglas such a hard time about not serving breakfast, but once they break down and finally give him a breakfast item, she grabs some stuff that is just sitting there already made!
Funny, last Saturday night, went to Pappasitos and the waitress was either new or just sucked...Anyway, we order, margaritas, water, queso...get the queso, water...order dinner...get dinner and no margaritas... She ends up telling us, "well, we ran out of margarita mix"...yeah, at 8 on a Saturday night...I tipped her like 10%, but that's because I was on a date...otherwise, 1 penny...
You tipped her 10% because they ran out of mix? Or, was it because of something else? Because really....running out of margarita mix sometimes happens. I'm an Asst. Manager at a Tex-Mex restaurant and you won't believe how many people order margaritas.
I don't care. Customers don't care. We care about the bottom line. Taco Bell advertises that they sell milkshakes, so they should sell milkshakes. It is in the best interests of Taco Bell for them to deliver good food, good service, and accuracy to people's orders in a timely manner. I'm a customer. I don't care how Taco Bell delivers. I don't care how much they pay their staff. I don't care. I don't have to care. Why the order was inaccurately given to me. I don't care WHY about anything. I don't have to. ... Again - customers don't care! We don't care why. We don't have to be understanding of the processes and problems that occur in the Taco Bell kitchen. If TB advertises that they have beans for sale, then they should sell beans and meat. Period. When you are wearing the TB uniform, you are TB. You are the face of TB. And you get to hear complaints against TB from people who are unhappy with TB. How you deal with internally is your issue, not mine (I suggest you involve the manager and let him/her internally assign blame to the appropriate person - but this should be invisible to the customer). If the order got messed up, you need to think "WE" messed up your order and "WE" will get it fixed. Again... Customers don't care. We don't have to care. Food shortages are an error from management. Period. The store should NEVER be "out" of food.
Well, dammit - I WANT MY MILKSHAKE!! huff ... huff........ ..... huff... ... I'm okay... I'm alright now. .. Everything's okay. ... It's gonna be alright.
It just magnifies a complete lack of understanding on your part. People said they didn't understand how certain things could happen, someone posts a detailed explanation, and you still don't care.
I never said I don't understand. Perhaps others said that. My point is that customers don't have to be understanding. Business is business.
If you actually manifest this attitude when interacting with food service employees, I have no doubt, you've had a variety of "special sauces" in your day, despite Realjad denials that this never happens.
I used to work at McDs back in the day. That damn thing was the most sensitive piece of machinery I've ever seen in my life. We were always having to call guys out to fix it.
as brought up by WildSweet&Cool I don't care. Customers don't care. We care about the bottom line. Taco Bell advertises that they sell milkshakes, so they should sell milkshakes. It is in the best interests of Taco Bell for them to deliver good food, good service, and accuracy to people's orders in a timely manner. I agree, although we don't sell milkshakes. Its also in the best interest of the customer to come off as an individual with morals, understanding instincts and respect towards other humans especially who have gone out of their way to be helpful and kind to you, whether its their job or not... With your attitude I can easily see you as one of those assholes on the road who would cut people off, and if they so much as give a honk you would pull up beside them with the finger, even if the people you cut off have kids in the back seat, your kind makes me sick to my race. I'm a customer. I don't care how Taco Bell delivers. I don't care how much they pay their staff. I don't care. I don't have to care. Why the order was inaccurately given to me. I don't care WHY about anything. I don't have to. My post wasn't directed towards you then.. it was directed towards the others who did ask why. The others who understand how things 'could' happen and wonder why they 'could' happen. Again - customers don't care! We don't care why. We don't have to be understanding of the processes and problems that occur in the Taco Bell kitchen. If TB advertises that they have beans for sale, then they should sell beans and meat. Period. Again, thats your opinion as an individual customer.. Note I said individual, I'm a customer also.. when I can't cook and want something fast I head to whataburger or somewhere else. So me also being an individual customer just like you, I disagree. I did enjoy you speaking up for everyone like your some head of all the customers with your little 'Customers don't care' rant. Maybe you don't, but believe it or not~ everyone doesn't carry your same mindset. NOOOO WAIIIIII!!! shocking? yes, believable? of course. Things happend, yes its annoying when they happen but they DO HAPPEN. Thats why this thread was started, I just gave some insight on how they could happen. It's not like we are out to get you People advertise they go to church, they ask forgiveness of their sins.. Yet they will go out and will do the same exact sin they asked for forgiveness for the night before. I don't know you religion but I gauntee you've advertised yourself wrong with good intention yet something caused you to detour. If we so happen to run out of beans or meat for a short period, it happens. We are humans and whether its a company or not, prone to mistakes. sadly in this modern society, people like you can't see that and be understanding towards others.. Its not like we aren't trying to please you hah Again... Customers don't care. We don't have to care. Food shortages are an error from management. Period. The store should NEVER be "out" of food. Oh yeah, sure thing.. Like we all predicted Hurricane Rita and the chaos and traffic that caused. I think we ran out of food on a Thursday because of that. I'm sorry, not everyone has a crystal ball or is either as 'smart' as you. We can't see into the future and be correct on all our estimates.. things happen and we are only allowed to order what we 'should' need, this world is ran to make profit and having tons of food left over and unused isn't just a waste of food that poor kids in 3rd world countries could have used... but its a waste of profit for having to order it in the first place.
I had a friend who worked at Taco Bell in ATL. She said to never eat a ground beef item there but she said if she told me I would never eat there again. This was because I said I love beef meximelts. Man tell me what is in the meat please!
I asked a friend who used to work at McDonald's. he said the shake machine is taken apart every night and cleaned and it is a very delicate machine. Parts break often and they are very expensive so when they say it is broken, it honestly is broken. Funny thing is sonic and JITB always got the shakes going on.
The meat is placed in a pan on the cooking line, its covered but when making food its not, the taco shells, totillas, chips, chalupas just so happen to be placed right above it, so alot of the crumbs and stuff can drop into the beef. Its not that gross. I eat the beef, no problem. Meximelts are a big waste of money, if you want to save like 50 cents order it like this "I want a side of 6inch totilla(15-20cents) a side of beef and a side of cheese(20-25cents each). Also melt it please" You can literally get away with orsering a 12 inch tortilla for 15-20cents so its like a super meximelt. you don't have that tomato peiko or whatever but its alot cheaper and if you want it then order it and its still cheaper.
so the meat is 100% meat then. She made is sound like it was something else. I would not care even if it was part soy. I just don't want there to be any tripe, tendon, etc. You know all the stuff that people put in pho.
