fatty.. Nashville could use some too... this town doesn't have whataburger or taco cabana.. very lacking of the great 24 hr places
No kidding. That's one reason I'm not sure if I could ever live there again... I know better now, in regard to food. We don't quite have TC out here, though it's 30 minutes away... wish we did...
I always laugh at these places around here that try and throw a few references to texas into their restaurant and claim it is good tex mex. and the northeasterners especially that go to school here. .think they are getting some high quality tex mex lol
FFB -- if you could export TC up north, you'd be a godsend. I don't really see why it couldn't be done and I think it would do awesome business.
Rocket Fan - no offense, but I've never been able to find good food in Nashville. Maybe I just don't know where it is.
I don't eat JCI very often, but it has turned into a tradition for my dad and I. Everytime he comes to visit from Saudi for his vacation, we drive straight to the JCI after I pick him up from the airport. We do this every summer, speaking of which. 2 more months till JCI! WHOO HOO!
Isabel.. you aren't offending me! I'm a Texan... I'll be getting out of this city the day I graduate. You are right the food is no good here. My friends here are almost exclusively out of staters, so we make fun of this city as much as possible. If you ever have any good Nashville jokes, tell me. Making fun of Nashville doesn't offend me, it makes my day
the pepperjack chicken sandwich at whataburger wasn't that good IMO. it wasn't very filling (and i'm a small person) and it was kinda dry. i def liked the honey bbq chicken strips from sonic better! i'm eating fast food for dinner tonight...wendy's it is.
Here's something new to try at BW3 next time you go. Order your wings or legs naked. Ask for a side of their wild and Thai sauces. Mix them together in one of those buckets and enjoy!
Because they're not a franchise and have no intention of opening it up to franchising. Also, supposedly there's only one source for their beef (Harris Ranch on I-5), and given that I&O never freeze their ingredients, there's a limit to how far they can expand. Much to the other burger joints' delight, I'm sure.
Dunno...I like them better that way sometimes. I may try just getting wild with Thai for dipping on the side. SamCassell, If you wanna drive, you can hit one of two Carl's Jr.s on I-20 in Dallas and just east of Canton.
In n Out is awesome!! I've lived in Houston all my life (I'm 20) and have never been to James Coney Island...
I would say JCI is overrated. They taste like regular hot dogs that you could buy in the supermarket and boil at home. In and Out is the best. Their fries are ok, but you can't beat how everything is fresh. When I was in California last year, the In and Out was PACKED. There was a line of cars and people waiting just to order their food. It was so busy, they had employee's walking up and down the line of cars taking your order while you we were in the drive through waiting!! How many burger joints in Houston do you see have that kind of following? Zero zip nada!
Just had Sushi for the first time in my life. I think I am going to puke. My roomates nagged me to come out and try it with them. Damnit. I want my money back, I could have bought a nice juicey steak with that money.
Fuddruckers>In-N-Out Don't get me wrong In-N-Out is good but I mean when everyone around you is acting like its the burger of the gods and then when you try it your like, 'wtf mate, please tell me this isn't the burger of the gods..it's good but its not all that'
