i gotta agree...not sure about the weird part, though. this town is full of transplants who eat JCI all the time. you wouldn't make it in this town in the restaurant business if you only had native sons as customers.

In celebration of losing a total of 30 pounds (and counting), I had a Double Double at In N Out this weekend. As much as I miss Whataburger, nothing in fast food can top I&O.

JCI is too expensive. What are those little chili dogs, like 2 bucks a piece? I could probably eat 5 of them and not be full.

Yeah, that's my only problem. The dogs are about $1.59 for a chili cheese coney, and one won't fill you up at all.

Typically, two cheese coneys and chili cheese fries are going to run ya 6-7 bucks.

Sunday has 99 cent coneys. A great hangover meal.

Thank God you didn't say anything bad about the fabled JCI cheese gun. Otherwise, I might have eaten your soul.

If you are going to eat at Krystals you definitely need to try the krystal chiks. AWESOME. Especially after a late night of drinking.

I agree that they have the best taste but I'd really like a light version of it. They are too salty to me.

So why aren't there In and Out burgers down here? Everyone talks about how good they are, why not open one? Are they franchised? Lets get this rolling.

Hell, if I were going to buy a franchise, I'd buy a Taco Cabana and put it in Memphis. Those people are dying for a good mexican joint, and everything there is crap.

Believe it or not, yeah, it would. I've been to three of the "best" mexican joints there and they are all attrocious.

I'm not saying Taco Cabana is great. But, for the money, I would have a line out of the building for it.

Seriously, I'm thinking about doing it in a year or two, depending on how quickly I could get the financing.

Go with a Tacqueria Cancun or Arandas.

Is it that easy? Won't Taco Cabana have to want to expand into that area?

I don't know, to be honest. I know they had expanded into OK a few years ago. Time to google to see where they're at.
Heck. Their aren't any Krystals near Houston, and we got em.

EDIT: Their in OK and NM. Oklahoma isn't too far from Memphis. Roughly 300 miles. I think it could be done.
