The further we get from the Vince Young Era, the more I understand why people are so devoted to him in Austin. He took a soft, underachieving team and it took them over the top. Otherwise, Longhorns football would be pretty disappointing.
I thought VY made Mack Brown look good. I always hated his philosophy. Yes he can recruit. Yes he is a solid coach. But he wasn't a big game winner. Couldn't beat OU. VY changed everything.
