Bob, I remember you posting that a few months back. Awesome website!!! However, you have the 86-87 Celts and not the 85-86 and the 95-96 Rockets and not the 94-95 Rockets. I thought it looked weird because I know that Fred Roberts was not on that team and Mack wasnt on our team that year. EDIT - I just noticed that Drexler is not listed on the 94-95 team. Hmmmmm.
That pairing produced a 103-68 win for the Celts. My heart is with the Rockets also, but I would love to get some of you in a poker game. That is to say, you think with your heart and not with your brain. I believe I even remember that back in those days, 1995, that there were complaints about the qualtity of the NBA since MJ left and attendance had already started to slide.
rockets would win, but its also really hard to compare. think how much the game has changed since 86, but hell if i know... i was born that year.
I think the '86 Rockets were a better team than the '95 version, so how can I say that the '95 Rockets would have beaten the '86 Celtics? The '86 Rockets had a better shot at it, took them to 6 games and could have beaten them with a little luck. I don't think it an exaggeration to say that the '86 Rockets scared the hell out of that Celtic team. They would never admit it, but there it is, imo.
