Has anyone ever played one of those type of games where you would do a franchise and a fantasy draft. Imagine that really happened. How would the 1st round picks look like if the NBA were to start all over.

Uh...are those like in order? As in, J Kidd ahead of Magic? Or just names of people in the 1st rd?

Also, I'm guessing he was talking about current players since that is how the games do it. I don't think I usually use them since I'm pretty happy with the Rockets lineup, but I always use them when I use the Cowboys in games. (care to guess why?)

Yeah, I guess it would be pretty crazy. Wonder if they will set a pay scale thing like the draft, so where No.1 thru 5 can get like near max money and at least 5 yrs or something like that. Maybe the 6th rd can start being shorter contracts, and so on.

edit: Hmm...I do use the word "like" a lot. After reading that one thread about "you know," I sure hope no one is too annoyed by my speech...like you know, whatever. ;)

Assuming you mean current players, my top 10 list would look something like this:

    Duncan
    Garnett
    McGrady
    Kobe
    Shaq
    Webber
    Nowitzki
    Yao
    Kidd
    J.O'Neal

I dropped Kobe because of his sexual assault case or else he'd go #2.

Duncan is the clear cut #1. Yao might crack the top 15 or 20

anyone want to try to complete the entire first round?

also, I don't think this is the same as who you consider the best individual players. That would just be, name the top 15 players. In a draft, GMs would be looking at constructing a team and looking at the whole draft, so the Center position and PF positions would be valued more, imo...just like they are with salaries.

for instance, does anyone think Divac is worth $12m.

Don't really agree with those, especially since Magic is better in all stats by avg than Stockton that I saw and has more rings, but I'll just leave it alone if it is your opinion. Won't even touch the no.1 spot.

Hmm...I said I wouldn't but I kind of did anyways.

I never have liked him either, and wouldn't take him no.1. But like you said, others would and that is their opinion, not mine.

    Still, I probably wouldn't pick Dream #1 either. :p
(if your curious, I'd probably pick Wilt #1.)

Wow, that's amazing. You created a dream starting 5 without using three of my dream starting 5...never seen anyone that disagreed so much with me on a dream starting 5.

I think I could create what I would consider a better team with just the players you left out.

    C - Kareem
    PF - McHale
    SF - Bird
    SG - Jordan
    PG - Johnson

True, but not one of my guys is a bad defensive player(Any one of them could probably make or come close to making an all-defense team in any given season), and, despite your team having 3 centers, my team still isn't much smaller. McHale gives up an inch tops to Hakeem, and Larry gives up about the same to Russell.

I'm not saying my team is better...I just think that it is interesting that our teams would differ so much.
