Forgot about that All Star thing. I was wondering why the playoffs were starting mid-week.

Next question...after the semis, will the #1 seed Division winner play the lowest seed left? Seems fair.

This kind of takes the thrill out of the last two games. I was calculating # of pitchers to use per matchup. Now it doesn't matter. All 4 WC teams are pretty evenly matched, so I don't think seeding will matter too much.

I'm pretty sure that's the way it will work.

I just got back from Vegas, down a couple of hundred and seriously lacking sleep.

Glad to see the Hitmen won the division while I was gone. A win this week over Jent could seal the #1 seed.

OK, everything is set for the last game of the regular season. I don't think pitcher game limits will make much of a difference, but I'll watch just in case. Playoffs start Monday!

    Playoff seedings...none are decided yet!

jent and Pimp will be 1 and 2, but which order is still unknown.

Bob* and SamCassell will be 3 and 4, but again, undeteremined.

And myself and fadeaway will be going head to head, with the winner taking 5th seed and the loser in 6th seed.

Hey all. The drive to Thunder Bay went a little faster than expected, and I made it here a full day earlier than I calculated. Thanks to Behad for doing a bang up job as acting commish. I also see that the Expos snuck into the playoffs as a bottom seed. Get ready for an upset, baby! :)

First round (week 44 + 45) playoff schedule is as follows:

    Capitol City Hitmen -- BYE
    Jent`s Llamas -- BYE

Pythons vs Fadeaway`s Expos (winner to face Jent`s Llamas)

Utilities Steamrollers vs The Aliens (winner to face Capitol City Hitmen)

    Consolation Bracket

    Song`s Tools -- BYE
    The Monkey Drums -- BYE

DarkHorses vs DV`s Dynamos of Domination (winner to face The Monkey Drums)

Smeg`s Smarmy Gits vs PhiSlammaJamma (winner to face Song`s Tools)

Bye teams are matched up against each other for fun.

The built in site playoff format is rather difficult to customize, so instead of dicking around with that, I'm just going to add matches onto the regular season schedule and keep track of the playoff standings here. Also, although the first round is broken up into two separate matchups (week 44 and week 45) it will be treated as one single week-long game period. The lineup you set for week 44 will carry over into week 45; you won't be allowed to set a different lineup midweek.

    *** IMPORTANT ***

As mentioned before, there are no pitcher limits for playoffs. Instead, you will start any 5 SP and any 2 RP. Make sure you are starting the correct number of pitchers. I'll be looking over the lineups before gametime and will remove any illegally set players (ie: if someone tries starting 6 SP, I will take out one of them.... if someone tries starting 3 RP, I will remove one, etc...). This will suck for you, so make sure your lineup is legal. Some of you (Bob & Smeg so far) currently have improper lineups set, so you'll have to change them.

If a pitcher is listed at the wrong position (ie: someone is listed as a SP but is actually pitching in relief and you want to use him as one of your RP) then please make a note of it in this thread.

    Good luck everyone!

Just a reminder to get those lineups in ASAP!

    Some notes:

Bob is currently starting 3 RP and 4 SP... you need to remove one RP and insert a SP instead

Darkhorse is starting 3 RP and 2 SP. You need to remove one RP. Also, you have room to start a few more SP (total = 5 SP).

DV is starting 1 RP and 5 SP. You still have room for 1 more RP in the lineup.

Everyone else looks good. I'm not worried about the BYE team lineups.... they can start whoever the heck they want. :)

    Done and done.

DH --- Just found out that Victor Santos is a starter, so he can stay in the lineup. I also inserted two more SPs (Livan and Ishii) to bring you up to 5 total.

DV --- I inserted an additional RP (Cordero) into your lineup to bring you up to 2 total.

    Everything should be finalized now.

Do total games count for the playoffs?
If so please remove all my pitchers for my bye week.
    Thanks
