Updated the games used (through week 35) on the site. Some of you are starting to get up there. Also, this is something that wasn't really talked about much, but the league trade deadline was the same as the MLB deadline, so don't bother trying to make anymore trades, because they'll be zapped.
Here's a reminder of how the playoffs will go down. I'm still ironing out some of the fine details of playoff lineup requirements and will make an official playoff post about it in a few weeks, but here's how it looks so far: Playoffs Playoffs will start on September 6th. Game limits will be reset for the playoffs. Six teams will make the playoffs. Each division winner will get a bye. The playoffs will look like this: First round of playoffs (BYE for Div. Winners): Monday, Sept. 6 - Sunday, Sept. 12 (two game periods -- one complete week) Second round of playoffs: Monday, Sept. 13 - Sunday, Sept. 19 (two game periods -- one complete week) Our world series: Monday, Sept. 20 - Sunday, Oct. 3 (four game periods -- two complete weeks) For the teams that do not make the playoffs, and those who get knocked out in the first or second round, matchups will be arranged to determine the final standings.
I can't believe I just lost by 2 points after starting no pitchers against Behad's 7. If only Piazza hadn't gone down...
Fade... can you set this lineup for me? 1B-Hatteberg,Scott, OAK 1B-Lee,Derrek, CHC 2B-Roberts,Brian, BAL 3B-Beltre,Adrian, LA 3B-Young,Dmitri, DET C-Barrett,Michael, CHC SS-Clayton,Royce, COL OF-Podsednik,Scott, MIL OF-Jones,Andruw, ATL OF-Sheffield,Gary, NYY SP-Westbrook,Jake, CLE SP-Hernandez,Livan, MON SP-Loaiza,Esteban, NYY RP-Santos,Victor, MIL RP-Rincon,Juan, MIN RP-Nathan,Joe, MIN Thanks.
I think mine are off slightly(site has 107SP/85RP). I show 105 SP's and 87 RP's as of week 35(109SP/92RP as of week 36). Just a guess here, did you count all of Ortiz's games as starts? I intentionally put him in as an RP a couple of times which appears to make up for the discrepancy.
My totals are correct. Aaron Sele pitched two games as a starter, but was listed as a reliever. I took note because I just knew you would ask about this.
UGh, Fade just roll over my same lineup for me..... I completely forgot it was friday and I can not get to the site at work.
Am I sensing a little attitude in that statement? I was tracking my games by using the actual game lineups that were entered. No big deal.
I was losing the whole week....Jared Wright pulled it out for me. I got lucky...your hitters were on fire.
Whatever you say Joe Friday. Just so you have all of the facts, Ortiz was entered in my lineup as a RP this week too.
Not sure if that's supposed to be an insult or not, but whatever. Ortiz's status shouldn't matter. If he starts, I'll count him as a starter.
Updated your lineup. 1B-Dunn,Adam, CIN 2B-Young,Michael, TEX 3B-Teixeira,Mark, TEX C-Varitek,Jason, BOS SS-Jeter,Derek, NYY SS-Rodriguez,Alex, NYY OF-Wilkerson,Brad B., MON OF-Baldelli,Rocco, TB OF-Mora,Melvin, BAL OF-Wells,Vernon, TOR SP-Harden,Rich, OAK SP-Cabrera,Daniel, BAL SP-Silva,Carlos, MIN RP-Kolb,Danny, MIL
Nope, just being sarcastic. Since Ortiz is listed as a starter and reliever on Fanstar I figured I could use him at either spot. No worries. He is starting today so he should count as a starter I suppose.
If he starts, I count him as a starter. If he enters a game as a reliever, he gets counted as a reliever. The default position is irrelevant, which is one reason why the site-counted totals are unreliable and should not be used.
Another good score, but yet another loss anyway. The story of my season. This has been a very unfortunate year for the Expos. I need a rabbit's foot or four leaf clover or something...
