Yeah, this was definitely not the year to take relievers early. Smoltz has been killing me.

Spectacular. Isn't it bad enough that DH threw 5 starting pitchers to my zero, now Finn's throwing his best at me too. :(

I might make an exception to my general SP rules and throw the book back at ya, man.

Honestly, if I had realized you didn't have any SP's pitching this week I would have held back a lot more.

    Sorry bout that.

    (kind of)

Ok, Astros fans, I've finally did it. I've guaranteed Bagwell to go on a tear this week.

I pulled him from the starting lineup.:(

Nah, don't apologize. You had a tough 2 game stretch against the top 2 teams, and you managed a split by going all out in one game and laying down in the other. I don't like it, cause it hurt me, but it was sound strategy from your perspective. I just hope that that kind of stuff evens out over time.

    Sam-
The fact that DH threw no SP's in our game had no effect on the outcome. Honestly, it was good strategy. I happened to have a good week and would have likely won by over 100 pts. even if he had used his stable of pitchers.

What a pathetic showing by both of our pitching staffs, ay Sam?

Another one of my games that will be decided by the bullpens (and my relievers blow)

Yea, 5 SPs on both sides and we can't crack 100. Sad, sad, sad. Imagine if we'd been holding back.

I've been keeping the tally up to date in my notebook, but haven't gotten around to updating the front page. I'll try to get it done this evening.

Just Leiter and Pedro, I believe. Leiter got me 31, tying us at 172. It all depends on Pedro now. If he has a good outing, I'll probably win. If he pitches poorly, I will probably lose.

    Changed Cabrera.
