I have no idea how DarkHorse was able to set a lineup with so many offensive players. If I try to add extra hitters, I get the error message: "You will exceed the limit for this position!"

Anyway, I'm going to take out the extra hitters from the last game and award Castor the win.

DH -- I modified your lineup this week to make it legal. If you wanted to change anything (ie: play Beltre instead of Young at 3B, etc..), let me know before games start and I'll make the changes.

No, not Jimy's fault this time. Berkman's grandfather died, he is away with his family.

Whoa! I have no idea how that happened. I don't really tinker with my batters, just change the pitchers. Sorry Castor. :(

    Thanks fade...

No prob. I know you didn't do it on purpose (it shouldn't even be possible in the first place). Is the lineup I set for you okay?

fade, who did you pull from my lineup last week if not Beltre? Wouldn't he be the obvious guy?

(yes the current lineup is fine)

Since it was illegal, I took out the one who scored the most (Lee).

Somehow that doesn't seem fair, but I guess since I had the illegal lineup I don't have much to stand on.

I still have no idea how the site would have allowed it.

In case anyone is feeling generous, removing Beltre would have made the game a tie, as opposed to a 14 point loss, but what can you do?

It seems the extra guy was Michael Tucker. When I compared the lineup from week 19 and week 20 He is the only one listed in 20 that is not in 19 (that includes Lee). Tucker scored 9 points.

That's because I just picked him up as a free agent and fired Bigbee...

I think the real problems started with Dmitri Young got off the DL.

It's just a complicated issue, I think it's best to just let it go and move on. I'm cool with taking the loss, I just wish it would have been spotted sooner rather than later. Obviously I wouldn't have taken Derrek Lee out of my lineup, but there's no way I would have beaten you, so let's just forget it.

    :)

My bad. I didn't get to see much of the game yesterday so I missed that. Can't blame a guy for missing a game with that excuse. It seems like lately if you are related to an Astros you better be careful.

I guess the complaint on Jimy shows where my loyalties lie. I'll defend him up to the point to where he screws up my fantasy team then all bets are off.

Fade, for the purpose of season point totals, it wasn't just last week. DH's lineup has been illegal since week 16 when he introduced Dimitri Young into his lineup.

Also, just so you're aware, it wasn't just DH. Smeg also has had an illegal lineup dating back to week 16 when he started putting in Derek Jeter.

It doesn't look like any of the outcomes were affected for either.

Strange isn't it. Even stranger that the same thing happened with Smeg when he put Jeter into the lineup.

Well at least it looks like we have a better handle on the situation now.

No. I just looked through all of the matchups since week 16 and both Smeg and DH's lineups were fine. Some of the players may be listed at different positions due to multi-positional eligibility (ie: Craig Wilson comes up on the matchup page as a C instead of the OF position where Smeg plays him; A-Rod is listed at SS even though Smeg plays him at 3B, etc..) but the number of players started has always been correct (4 OF, 6 IF).

This past week's game seems to have been the only one in which a lineup with the incorrect number of players has been submitted.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm pretty happy about Jake Westbrook's 50 point complete game shutout on my bench.

    Pretty happy indeed...
