Beltran is averaging about 4.8 FP/G. That is sweet. And if he goes to the Yankees seems like he could average even more. Kevin Brown ironically benefits if that trade goes down. Brown is in a mini slump but whenever you are losing and still getting 10 points that is pretty good. He'll be keeping up his 19 FP/G fairly soon. Hildago provides some support even though he has cooled down a lot. I Personally like the Beltran side of the deal if he can keep up this pace, which he certainly seems capable of doing. But you know I love pitching too. So Brown will bolster the Summer song staff. Something he sorely needs.
Meanwhile Brown has a shutout going thru 7 innings. 98 pitches, so he may be done. And thus, he has pitched his last good game (I hope).
Phi -- Check your trade desk, dearie. SSG -- Interesting idea. May revisit that depending on how things work out, if it's still on the table.
Ok finn, big game tonight. You've got Glaus and Lopez and I've got Palmeiro and Percival. Talk about a messed up finish. If either of our hitters does well it sets up the save for the other owner. This ought to be real interesting. Graves pitches every freaking night, but I needed all 3 saves this weekend (and still need one more) because of Dotel's psychological issues. Tonight's gonna be a bumpy ride.
Glaus most likely won't be playing and I got Jorge Julio (not Lopez) left to go. Did I mention how much I hate Danny "Digs Deep" Graves?
With Giles out for a couple months, I'm looking for a good 2B. I have talent at 1B, 3B, and C that is potentially available.
A request. Can my team play Smeg every week. He is the only one it seems I can beat. My lineup for the next week. Good lord, no kidding. Think I've had half the roster miss games so far, and Nomar's a completely wasted pick to date.
Bad news for Troy Glaus owners: ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Angels slugger Troy Glaus, a three-time All-Star who has hit an AL-leading 11 home runs in just 108 at-bats, will have surgery on his right shoulder Friday and be sidelined for at least two months.
