The FBI has Smeggy Smeg on the most wanted list for impersonating a Fantasy baseball owner as recently as last month. He's forged over 10 fantasy teams in more than three different countries. The latest being in austrailia. I've tipped mr. Hamready as to his location. So catch me if you can...
More than just his first start: Pitcher Mark Prior hasn't thrown off the mound since last Monday and looks doubtful for most of April because of an inflamed right Achilles' tendon.
speaking of first starts, are line-ups due today?? is it monday to thursday and then friday to sunday i presume the red soxs v oreos is counted in the week 1 mon- thursday match-up???
The Yanks-Devil Rays game is at 5am est tuesday morning, so I would think the lineups must be set today. I'm guessing our first game will run from tomorrow till thursday next week.
Yes, game periods are Monday-Thursday and Friday-Sunday. Early Games in Japan and Sunday night will be included with first week/day of play. I have the lineup deadline set at 12 noon EST for each game period, so normally that would be 12 noon EST each Friday and Monday. However, I'm not sure how these early games will affect things, so I would advise you to finalize any lineup changes ASAP.
fadeaway, I found and fixed the league logo. It's showing up on my computer, but the pic is cached here. Can you see it?
When I saw my roster I knew I had to get down on my knees and pray... so that I could thank the Lord for the meal I am about to receive
PSJ, I just want to personally thank you for taking Mark Prior. If you had not, I would have, thus keeping my streak alive of 1st round picks who do not start the season on time. Schilling's spring k/bb ratio: 21 to 2
I thought Schilling was a stretch too. I didn't like that pick, but he's probably going to pay off big time. The one thing I forgot is that he's facing AL batters which is to his advantage.
even though i'm not in this league, i just wanted to personally thank mr. prior for continuing my amazing streak of number 1 picks in baseball and football who miss very significant time. kurt warner rich gannon randy johnson mark prior 2 MFing MVPs, a cy young winner, and a young phenom with perfect health the year before struck down under my watch. the first 3 missed at least half the season with injuries (and blew ass in the other half) and prior will probably be able to string this out through half the season. and prior was one of my keepers. dammit. thank you for your time.
fade, could you check on a scoring discrepancy? In my game with the Aliens, Sidney Ponson is credited with a 17, but it seems like it should be a 19. He did have one hit batter, but that is not in the rules. The only thing I can think of is the innings pitched. Since we get 3 points per inning pitched, not one per out, he may have only been credited with 5 innings or 15 points, not 5.67 and 17 points. I don't want to win by 1 point and have Sam Cassell cry about it! BTW, verrrry nice matchup page they have this year. Looks like the scores were in real time last night.
Yep, that's what happened. I'll change the system to 1 point per out instead of 3 points per complete inning pitched.
Such an honest guy, that Behad is! Make me show mercy on him, it will not. Down in flames, the Steamrollers will go.
