Fans were burning Matt Schaub jersey's like they were BBQ.

Everyone is upset. I get it. I have eyes. I was angry.


Time to move on is all I'm saying. We will get a new coach and new QB when it happens. I'll continue to root for the Texans, QB and coach, which doesn't necessarily mean that I believe they have what it takes to get it done.

 

I've been as critical as Schaub as anyone, probably moreso. I still think its ridiculous for fans to burn his jersey and to spam his Twitter account, it's just sports. The dude doesn't owe these people anything. That being said...

...I don't understand the Schaub supporters with their "he's the best we got" mantra. We dont what we have. TJ Yates hasn't played a meaningful down in the NFL yet (he wasn't even a game manager during our first playoff run, he was a lesser Kyle Orton) and Keenum less so. Both have wheels that are necessary now in this league. Even Tom Brady and Peyton Manning can run for 4-5 yards when necessary. There is way too much made of quarterback benchings in this league, but more often than not, it's the right decision. Schaub is more Sanchez right now than Flacco. Sanchez also "led" the Jets to two AFC Championships, but we all know it was fool's gold. I feel like I'm in crazy land.

If anyone remember's that when the Texans used to be mediocre it was because Matt Schaub would always find a way to lose a game. He is on pace to throw 24 picks thid year. Time to be looking for a replacement someone who can compete vs Keenum.

 

He was a rookie that was told "dont throw, give ball to Arian, if it's a scary 3rd down we will punt".

That wasn't exactly a TJ Yates showcase in 2010.

 

He threw for 300 yards and 2 TDs in the playoff-clinching win against the bungles. And don't forget the back-breaking 40-yard TD to AJ in our first ever playoff win.

I know he's not the answer at QB, but he played better than expected up until the playoff game against the ravens when he finally came back down to earth.

I don't think anything about that. That's someones choice. My goal is to make sure when we get done with this thing at the end of the year, he's going back out and is gonna get one to wear.

I saw that yesterday when I was riding down Bissonnet. I didn't make out the bottom half because of where he was standing. I just thought was that he didn't spell you're right.

not only that, he threw for 900+ in basically 4 games.. i say 4 games because he started 5 total in the reg season. didnt throw in the jax game and only played 1 series in the titans game.. also, kubiak even said he wsnt holding back and had tj take in the entire playbook. he didnt play with andre, he did better than expected people hold him to his production because they want to compare him to matt.. matts first year with the texans he only threw for 2200 yards.. yet they wanted a rookie to match matts 27ppg in his first month of his career..

 

Where's Skeeters? I want the Matt Schaub special.
