The problem is the outside shooting were bad. If the backcourt can handle their open shot, there will be inside out. Without outside shooting, the whole offense will not be effective.

Did JVG arrange any shooting practice at all? Does he just let the players practise their shooting after official practice? It seems that only Yao and T-Mac can improve their shooting touch by themselves.

Okay, yeah, definitely the outside shooting is a major problem of our offense. Hell, Wesley's so snake-bitten he won't even shoot it from the outside anymore. DA will shoot through his slump, I'm sure. Barry & TMac are hurt. I'm not gonna say anything bad about Luther Head, 'cause again I think he's one of 2 Rockets actually earning his playing time.

When I asked for more inside in our inside-out game, I'm not necessarily talking about more inside shots (not that it would be a horrible thing, since we can't hit anything from the outside). It's more a matter of getting the ball inside on a consistent basis to help open up better looks from the outside. I'd like to see 4 quarters of feeding the post and kicking it back out. Obviously not EVERY play, but I think our guards are quick to abandon the strategy of feeding the post. Only because there's a THREAT of a double-team. And that plays right into the defense's hand.
