You guys shouldn't be counting your chickens yet, Boston is apparently after him as well.

Although I do consider Houston to be the favorite in the Brad Miller sweepstakes.

Sportsbook.com odds soon to be up I hope.

I don't think Haywood is going to ask for anything less than the MLE.

Brenda won't ask for anything less than the left side of the menu and a Diet Coke at Dennys either.

How much wood would a haywood hay if a haywood could hay wood?

More than we're willing to pay for, that's for sure.

Great move if we can get him at the right price. If we sign him, I think we'll see Hill/Patterson at PF and no resigning of Scola.

Brad Miller would be perfect for this team. If he'd come for the LLE I would be thrilled. He's a great backup and a great fit for this system. He'd also allow us to sit Yao quite a bit and fit like a glove.

Miller fkin sucks. What a waste of money he will be. He does **** for our team if we are actually trying to win a title. Either lets spend the money and get some actual good players, or lets trade our old players and rebuild. Getting miller will end the season before it begins.

Paying a couple million more for Haywood would be better than wasting money on Miller.

Miller would be a great signing.

    Finally a backup C that's taller than a SF.

Yao gets the help he needs.

It is a good move. Miller won't block too many shots, but he has size, and is experienced. He will help us.

MLE = ~6 million a year for up to 5 years

    LLE = ~2 million a year for 2 years

Veteran Minimum = ~2 million for 1 year (but some of that $ would be reimbursed)

BimaThug, please go easy on me if I didn't get this exactly right.

I'd be underwhelmed if Miller is our addition in the summer. We can do better (Haywood, Przy, etc). I firmly believe we need 3 LONG big men. Miller is not long, Yao is, Hill is. If we trade Hill in a package for Bosh, we still only have 2 long guys and need one more. Miller doesn't fit the bill, though his offensive game is admirable given his age.

Sign Saq to the vet min and we're good to go.

As long as it's for the LLE or vet minimum, fine. The guy does not have enough left in the tank to commit the MLE to, though.

Not that we need it, but he would also be a nice on the court and locker room leader. I seem to remember him having a bit of a nasty streak in him on the court.

This roster is stacked with Yao insurance.

    Yao / Hayes / Miller / Andersen
    Scola / Hill / Patterson / Jeffries
    Ariza / Battier
    Martin / Budingger / Taylor
    Brooks / Lowry

This could be the final roster when the season starts.
