Well he's not on any All-NBA teams so he can't possibly help us.

His assist #s in Sacramento were great. Our bench should love playing off him and Lowry. Lots of easy layups! Though if this is true, we may have seen the end of Chuck, I can't envision keeping Yao, Scola, Jeffries, Hill, D. Anderson, getting Miller and resigning Chuck :(

Morey never EVER say Yao is touchable. I have yet to hear that from his own words. The author of the article don't know what he's talking about. It didn't provide quote from Morey that say Yao is touchable, did it? NO! Why? Cuz Morey wouldn't say such thing. Everything i heard from Morey ..he speak highly of Yao....no way he would even mention the word Yao and touchable in the same sentence...i bet you a million that the article is wrong.

It's not a matter of resigning him.. they have him signed for next season IF they take his option. It's a team option.

I've been thinking about it and the more I think about it the more I think that they pick it up. At the very least it's another trade chip for them to use if they so choose, either by trading Chuck or by trading one of the others you've listed.

Here's my assessment....if we can't get a big FREE agent like Bosh...then the next move is Marcus Camby....if that didn't work...then Brad Miller. I think Miller fit in nicely and backing up Yao is perfecto!!

Too old to be effective anymore imho. It'd be the Brent Barry signing of 2010 if it happens.

Maybe still servicable as a backup, but definitely not a starter. Rockets need a backup C who can play big minutes if needed..

I see we haven't learned our lessons of past. This has nothing to do with miller to me whom i like, but the rockets should get a tougher type who can log bigger minutes and add versitility. DJ Mbenga is what I'm thinking especially with the offensive players the rockets already have. Another move would be to pursue Al Jefferson. It will probably cost scola, but it guves the rockets a guy who can log big minutes at center and hold down the pivot when yao is out. Then they can slide him to the 5 and bring hill in to continue his development. Another cheaper option would be someone like turiaf who can also play the 4/5 and can block shots and rebound. Miller is the wrong way to go just as barry was the wrong way.

I've always liked Miller and thought he was underrated. But at this point of his career, I worry about injuries.

Does anyone else feel like the Rockets are an easy place for old white players to come and get their last check while riding the pine? Why do we keep giving these guys money?

Love his game. I feel he would be a great fit with hill. His mid range game/3 point shoots along with his passing skills from the high post would be perfect with our second lineup of lowery, hill, CBud and shane. A lot of cutters he could pass to.

He has never been known as a defensive stopper but he is not too shabby either. Not a highlight reel shot blocker, but a solid post defender.

Also he knows the system. Like someone else has said, we are becoming the Htown kings. Lets bring Bibby in too to man the point :p

Well, when you start a 6-6 center, alot of the opposing team's centers will eat you up.

I'd rather play Hill over Miller.

I'm okay with Miller as long as we draft a defensive big like:

    Whiteside
    Aldrich
    Sanders
    Udoh

I would take him as our backup C honestly. Hopefully that mean Anderson is on his way out sometime...
