Have you seen how Landry is already 28 is years old? How he absymal rebounding skills? How he doesn't play defense?

Landry's a nice player off the bench but he's already maxed his usefulness. Hill actually has upside, and considering how he's only been playing ball for a few years I'm sure he'll still improve.

Oh yeah and no to cousins. I'll trade Patterson for him straight up. Otherwise hell no to the overweight mental head case please.

How generous that you're willing to trade a player who isn't even NBA-ready yet for one averaging 17 pts and 10 reb per 36 minutes.

Jordan Hill and Landry are both at similar levels right now. I wouldn't want to risk flipping players, because Hill is getting better and better yearly.

I would LOVE to get Landry back. Without a "star" player in the first half of last year, the Rockets were able to defy the odds and be a potential playoff team and a decent seed to boot. Then Morey was able to add what most of us thought would be the missing piece, a wing scorer for one of our 2 power forward. Unfortunately, time has told we traded the wrong guy. I really do like Scola's game, but Landry was our finisher last year, the guy we went to at the end of games during the 1st half of the year when we had that good record. After the trade we lost that guy and nobody since then has been able to fill the void. Landry may never be a superstar, but for this team he was what we are missing now, an effective go to guy in the fourth quarter. It would be really interesting to see how Carl would do if we plugged him back in with addition of Martin, even if it means losing AB. Martin, Scola, and Brooks are all nice, but they can't do what Landry did for us last year.

Despite signing forward Luis Scola to a five-year, $47 million deal last summer, Houston has significant interest in bringing back free-agent-to-be forward Carl Landry. The fourth-year player was traded to Sacramento in February in the three-team deal that sent Kevin Martin to Houston and Tracy McGrady to New York.

    Wohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Let's do it Morey!!!!!!!

We don't need him any more.

With Hill's emergence, and growing abilities, stick with him.

Landry is a more polished offensive player, but Hill is better on defense and rebounding, and is talller and younger.

    Love ya Carl...good luck elsewhere.

We have enough players that we got because of offense, we can not continue to jettison our 2 way players and expect to win.

I'm OK trading him for Brooks. I don't see the problem, rotation-wise:

    C - Yao, Hill/Miller
    PF - Scola, Landry

Terrible idea.....and if you want Carl so badly, you can get him in the offseason for free, he is an unrestricted free agent.

Unless, the Rockets don't think Yao will be healthy throughout.

I am convinced the Rockets aren't interested in bringing Carl back.

Landry can not play center......we should have taken Whiteside or Sanders instead of Pat Pat.

The only way I see this happening is if we have other big moves planned. If we move Hill and Patterson, or if we move scola for a big name player, then I can see it happening. However, the PF position is looking pretty good for us right now.

    Edit*

Whatever it takes, I would KILL for a future frontcourt of Jordan Hill/Demarcus Cousins...

Scola is providing star-level production from the power forward position this season. I can't believe any of you actually want to replace him with an unproven rookie like Cousins  That will not improve the team, it will make it worse.

Although, I would be in favor of getting Cousins to play center if we don't have to give up too much, but there is no way I would give up a core player like AB or Martin for it.
