Yep, he was hitting face up jumpers and also banging inside. Guy has immense potential just needs to calm down with the immature crap.

If we are planning to rebuild, then trade for Cousins while keeping the young guys (Hill, Budinger, etc).

The Kings are in desperate need of veteran leadership, so Scola would sound like an obvious fit. But man I would be afraid to trade him, he is really really the MVP of this team right now..

Rockets turned down Philly at the deadline b/c of Lowry.

Philly turned down Rockets at the draft.

Takes two to tango even if you are predatory.

I understand the Landry love, I liked his hustle, too, as a spark off the bench.

Otherwise, he is undersized and one-dimensional and these weaknesses get magnified as he sees more playing time.

Keep Scola and Hill and bring in Cousins.

You realize that their starting PG is Luther Head, right?

How do you feel about the possible acquisition of Cousins? Do you think he can mature more here than there? I do, but maybe thats just the fan in me.

If we want Landry back, why would we trade for him when we can just wait to sign him as a FA this summer?

Hmmm could this be the end of Yao Ming? I mean with Morey saying he's looking 'long-term' does this mean the end of Yao? I think it does or at least sounds like it.

False. While it doesn't look very valuable right now, the only way those rights become worthless is if (a) the Knicks make the playoffs AND (b) the Knicks finish with a better record than the Rockets.

Based on your "estimates", David Stern should just hand the Larry O'Brien Trophy to the Spurs right now.

And do you think that Jordan Hill and that 2012 first rounder are worthless?

They're worth a hell of a lot more than Tracy McGrady's corpse.

The only thing we could do with Landry would be to 3 way him to Denver for Mello. Maybe Brooks to Sac, Landry, our 1st rounder, Bud, Jeffries to Denver, Mellow to Houston. Though Sac would have to give up more than just Landry for Brooks...

Not really. Where would he fit next to Yao/Scola? He'd have to be off the bench.

And if we were to get Landry, too, would Cousins play at the C with Landry as back-up PF? Too many mid-size big men...

If the Rockets are truly interested in dealing Brooks, it speaks volumes about their opinion of Lowry and Smith.

I actually think we have a good shot at acquiring landry. We have a shot with Cousins, but i don't think we'll give up what they want for him(Brooks). If they're keeping Cousins, then they need to open up minutes for him by trading Landry, who just doesn't match the potential of Cousins.

    Evans
    Greene
    Cousins
    Whiteside

That's their core and all under 22 yrs of age. Landry is 27 and is the odd man out. We should be inquiring about Landry, Garcia, and Dalembert. I think a combo of Garcia/Lee would be good at SG if we decided to Trade Martin for someone like Iggy. Garcia's contract would end at the right age (early 30s). Dalembert is an obvious need, how much do y'all think he'll get this offseason?

Sometimes hustle and a little spark far outweigh being undersized and one-dimensional. We need to make changes and we need to make them stat.

Regardless of Landry's shortcomings he plays bigger than he is. Especially when it matters (Think playoffs against Utah when he blocked Dwills shot and single handedly won us that game) and he gets the job done.

I say we keep Scola by all means to reunite Scolandry and give up on Hill and get rid of Bud as well. If we have to part with Brooks and it nets us someone equally young and talented (Cousins) it's a no brainer.
