Sac would want major assets for Cousins. I don't see how they give up on him so quickly.

Cousins is a huge gamble, but what do we have to lose?

We have a young team, we have limited chances of acquiring all star talent, so why not try and develop someone with amazing potential?

Of course the Rockets gave them stuff in trades. That's the whole idea about trades. Each team gives something for something else.

The Rockets gave them a couple of draft picks for Artest (Greene played only summer ball for the Rockets). So, the Rockets did not develop either of them.

As for the other recent trade, if the Rockets do get Landry back (which is part of what's discussed in the article posted), then Landry was only sent down to SAC for a stint to give him some experience as a starter (since Scola stubbornly refuse to get hurt like every other Rockets starter does to give their backups starting opportunities).

    I greatly disagree!

Yes to Cousins, a big E'ffing 'NO' to Carl Landry. The guy is a 6'7 midget, PF, who's going to be 28yrs old next season on a pay raise of 6-7 mill per year, so no thanks!!! His a weak rebounder and does nothing to protect the paint against big frontlines and explosive guards!

His not what the Rockets, who will probably be rebuilding after this year, should be looking for! They need to get younger and should be looking to add size and skill. Cousins brings exactly that!

Landry sucks now? BS. His lesser numbers this year on the Kings just proves that he's not feeling it out there and wants to come back home.

I think Hill is a very different person and player than Landry. Hill is a guy who works hard consistently, keeps his head down, and off the court he doesn't put himself in situations where he gets shot.

Landry knows our system, and can score efficiently. He doesn't rebound or defend which we do need, but Cousins is a trouble maker. It would be nice to see Scolandry again.

If I was Landry and was traded to Houston, I'd bolt when my contract runs out.

Good. It would actually help with the rebuilding. No need for undersized PF's with potential knee problems who can't rebound.

Lotto picks are practically the only way to get superstars, you do not trade them away unless you are getting a known star back, and Cousins isn't that.

They are not gonna do a trade for Cousins unless we give up our own draft pick for this year imo.

i could see us trading brooks, patterson, and taylor for cousins, landry, and head.

landry would have that fire we're lacking and i believe he would play better alongside yao more so than scola.

i would even consider throwing in hill for whiteside.

Then i could see us trading scola, jefferies, bud, and 1st rd pick for mello.

    Yao/ (Hill,Whiteside)/ Miller
    Landry/ Cousins/ Hayes
    Mello/ Battier
    Martin/ Lee/ Head
    Lowry/ Ish

I do not want to trade a pick for Cousins. If they want Brooks, Peterson and whoever, I am glad to get Cousins as well as Landry back to Houston.
