Both Yao and T-Mac are overrated. Even with the addition of Artest and Barry, this isn't a team to win it all this season.

Wow, fourth best record (not counting seedings) in the west, in the toughest division in the game, with 2 rookies in the rotation, one which has played a different style of basketball, with a 45+ year old center as starter, with a point guard who is not a top 10, and PFs and SFs with defense but no offense and achieving the best second half record in the west, without Yao. That is only good enough for a 29?

If thats the case, the top 20 are all HOF worthy.........

Guys are complaining about T-mac being ranked #29.....but the guy was ranked #45 in PER last year.

I definitely don't buy the "lack of talent" argument. It's funny how bad people's memories can be. Prior to the 2008 season, there were talks about Houston having their most talented roster in a decade, if not more than the team's that won championships. Prior to Yao's injury, T-mac had by far more talent next to him than he did in 04-05, his best statistical season as a Rocket. Yao's at another level from where he was at in 2005, Scola and Landry are better than any PF we had on that roster, & Battier > Wesley easily...yet T-mac had the worst season of his Rocket career.

And if that isn't enough evidence....T-mac's numbers went UP after Yao went down.

The people who say Mac's just as valuable as Kobe/Wade/Bron are simply delusional.

I can easily name 28 guys arguably better than or as good as T-mac.
    Lebron
    Kobe
    Wade
    Paul
    Amare
    Dirk
    Duncan
    Garnett
    Pierce
    Manu Ginobili
    C. Bosh
    D. Howard
    Yao Ming
    Steve Nash
    Melo
    Kevin Martin
    Allen Iverson
    Shawn Marion
    Baron Davis
    Brandon Roy
    Deron Williams
    Vince Carter
    Michael Redd
    Ron Artest
    Jason Kidd
    Tony Parker
    Gilbert Arenas
    Elton Brand (when healthy)

T-mac's still a valuable player, and Houston can win with him. But he's not close to the player he was in Orlando, or even in his 1st year as a Rocket.

Yao is injury prone but he is definitely not overrated. Explain to me why there are debates between him and Dwight as the best center then!? Yao averages 20/10 a night, is efficient in the time he plays, and shoots over 50%.

This isn't 2003. Ask any of their teams to part with them for McGrady straight up and they will laugh in your face.

What do you mean "thinking my way"? What do those players (other than Billups who I already mentioned) have to do with my post?

I didn't say their ahead of T-mac. I said they are arguably as good, if not better. Why wouldn't it be? Except Gilbert, they all put up better #'s than Mac last year. That alone doesn't make them better, but it makes the topic at least worthy of discussion.

Again, why not? Isn't Manu the one with better statistics? The guy with 3 championships? The guy who was the 2nd best player on a championship team...something T-mac's aspiring to do right now?

I'm not saying each of these guys are better than T-mac...but the reason Mac is overrated is because some people will make up a bunch of bull unsupported by facts to believe Mac is still above them. Like when some fans act as if "heart and desire" or whatever is what keeps T-mac from playing at Kobe's level. That he can be as good as any other swingman 'when he wants to be'. That's the type of stuff that makes a big Rocket and T-mac fan like me go off on Tracy.

Bigtime?. you probaly just started following the rockets when yao joined us. you probaly never heard of the rockets prior to that. just like the other mcgrady haters who are mostly yao fan boys.

If they're clearly inferior, then why do they put up better numbers?
