its better than being known as the 21 million dollar man who can't get any team past the first round.

All you Tmac fans are extremely delusional. Good for Ron laughing at his Tmac's stupid reverse attempt.

Last time I checked he hadn't ever won a playoff series. For someone with top-5 talent, I'd be remiss to think of a more fitting label.

Losing in the finals vs. no playoff victories at all.

    Yeah, great comparison there...

It doesn't matter to me. As far as I'm concerned, McGrady has had a very good career. He hasn't had any luck in the playoffs, but has still been elite.

He's not the same player he once was anymore, but calling him a "loser" is delusional
and as far as Artest goes...

Ron Artest is a punk. He's complete trash, but its not surprising that you are fond of scum human beings like him given your adoration Vernon Maxwell

You're right. These delusional t-mac fans fantasize that one day t-mac will redeem their faith in him. After years of investing their faith in him, defending him on forums, it's difficult for them to step back and rationally assess what he's really worth. It's like those investors who get really invested in a once high-flying stock that became a penny stock--they keep telling themselves and everyone around them that they should buy low without realizing that it's low cuz everyone sees they're about to go bankrupt. It's time for t-mac fans to give up waiting for t-mac to suddenly realize his potential.

    Not saying that..

Don't misconstrue things. How about you take a shot at reading the entire thread before you try to assess a person's comment...
All I said was, he hasn't been a "loser" his entire career.

The guys has had a very good career. One of the best of the last decade.
That being said, I think he is done..

It would take a miracle for him to be 50% of the player he once was.

There's winning in the regular season and winning in the playoffs. Everyone always says that winning in the playoffs is what matters. He's never done that throughout his career. He has zero wins and several losses. I think that qualifies him as a loser.

Has he had a good career as a basketball player? Absolutely. Just like anyone who has ever gotten a guaranteed multiyear contract in the NBA or even in the European leagues for that matter has had a good career. To be paid millions for playing the game of basketball means you've made a great career as a basketball player. But having made it to an elite status in terms of individual accomplishments and contracts won doesn't mean you're a winner or that you're not a loser.

I could say the exact opposite thing and it would make sense as well..
being a loser all your career is not the same as losing in the playoffs..

Not sure what you're getting at. But you're welcome to call him a winner if that's what you want to do.

I'm afraid I disagree. It IS that bad. This isn't a fluke season. TMac has been declining badly for three years now, and this third season the bottom has fallen out. I'd hate to see McGrady hang on a couple more years as just another scrub. I admit I've grown tired of his act the last 3 years but I place the blame for his evaporation squarely on his own genetics. His body is simply too fragile for a long, successful NBA career. His knee is shot, and his overcompensation will wear out his other knee in no time. He's already sat out weeks and months worth of games and practices this year for surgery he had in the OFFSEASON. The man is simply toast, and I don't say that with a smile on my face.
