That is what I think too.....doesn't really go with the whole "Rocket" theme. I like Red Alert for the section and don't really think it's a must to name "us" as individuals. They can just refer to us as the Red Alert fans...if they need to reference us. That's just my two cents.
I wonder though.... is it possible to use the name "Red Alert" because of the Command & Conquer game Red Alert that came out in the mid 90s. Wouldn't there be some sort of problem using that name and endorsing it?
Funny. only in Houston do we need a "fan" section at the Toyota Center. haha.. p.s. I would have voted for Red Alert..however..it reminds me Mountain Dew too much.
I saw in another thread somebody call it the Clutch Crazies. I liked that name. I also like Red Alert too.
This was one I originally liked so much that the t-shirt I had made for the first event had "Clutch Crazies" emblazoned across the front.
Yeah, I'm the idiot who came up with that one, not realizing that some little-known school called Duke also had the "Cameron Crazies." That's what I get for never following college hoops. Too bad. I really liked it. Has just the right mix of energy, feistiness, and a link to the Rockets.
actually, that would be so corny that it would be cool. it has the whole obvious title thing like "snakes on a plane". "flying rocket with teeth with blue and white pin strip alert" would have been much better. soooo... maybe "bleeding 'r' that rips off the quake logo alert" would be bad arse.
Them Rowdies is too dern country for me. I've lived in this city for 41 years and would like to see us back away from our country image. This doesn't help. I agree with Jonesy it's too hickey. I like Rocket Fuel and Red Alert. Go Katy Rockets! Ye Haw!
Red Alert should be the section name, and Rocket Fuel should be what the individual fans are. The rest of those names are kinda terrible.
