India: 1 billion people and exactly one athlete that I've ever heard of (WWE wrestler the Great Khali)
Pilavullakandi Thekkeparambil Usha, the famous female Indian short distance runner. I remember the Chinese regarded Usha as their toughest rival in the 100- and 200-meter events at the '82 Asian Games.
What is it about Indians and the constant need to point out who's famous that's Indian or the Indian that did this or the Indian that did that? This is a trend seen in almost every Indian I've know. And I've known quite a few. Talk about inferior complexity.
7'3" 420 lb good gracious what a monster. He consumes five gallons of milk, five chickens and two dozen eggs along with chapatis, juice, and fruit daily. His name is Dalip Singh, and story is quite inspirational. He used to be a daily wage labourer in Punjab. That's right, he used to work on highways, breaking stones. He was later recruited into the Punjab Police Department, worked on his physique, won the Mr. India bodybuilding contest, and joined the Pro Wrestling circuit in Japan. He has rapidly moved up the Pro Wrestling Chain and has ended up at the WWE, the top most body of pro-wrestling.
This reminds me some poorly translated English in those pirated movies: Are you Serious? No, I am Kidding.
"Inferiority Complex" maybe? Is there such a thing as a Superiority Complex? Because I think I might just have that.
can there BE any more singh athletes? and i really dont think any of the ones slikvik mentioned are famous at all. on a sidenote sania mirza, tennis player leander paes pt usha Pilavullakandi Thekkeparambil Usha
Milka Singh is a legend, he's the closest India has gotten to fame in the Olympics. How could I forget about Sania Mirza???
didn't read everything, but I would have said Jim thorpe, but I'm not sure you meant American Indian or people from India. If the latter, then I'm sure there are some badass cricket players that are famous overthere... I heard Kama Sutra was pretty popular...
it starts and ends with anna kournikova. I don't give a **** what you guys say. You can tell me the sky is green, the grass is blue, the ocean is brown, but Anna is Anna. That wrestler dude is a piece of crap wrestler. I've only seen him once maybe seeing as I never watch Smackdown!, even though I say I will watch it. That tennis playing lady has a nice body. She is shaped well.
These are all called "Natives." There is nothing as Native Indian. There is an Native American, and then there are Indians from India. Take a geography class. HCC offers night school I hear.
