The legendary Milka Singh, 1960 Track & Field Olympian aka The Flying Sikh. Milka Singh is involved in a legendary story. In the 1960 Rome Olympics 400 meter final, he was in first, but he kept turning his head to look back and thus three runners passed him up and he ended up in fourth place. One more story: Milka Singh was taking rest on a bench on the coast of San Francisco. A gentleman came and asked him "Are you relaxing ?" "NO, I am Milka Singh", was the anwer of Milkha Singh. Then Milka Singh went down the lane and saw a white man taking sun-bath on the beach. Milkha Singh went to him and asked him "Are you relaxing ?" The white man replied "Yes" Milkha Singh "Someone was looking for you out there."

Did anyone mention Dipankar Bhattacharjee? He's probably the greatest Indian Badminton player in history. National Champion 3 times, first Olympian from Assam, and first Badminton Olympian from India. And oh yeah, this guy was my favorite back in the day...
