Yes, but in those cases there was reason to do so. And the FRC is a hate group. They advocate bigotry and oppose equal rights. That doesn't mean anyone deserves to get shot and I deplore the recent tragedy (deaths or not) but they are a hate group.
I'd like to follow up a bit though I know my preemptive efforts will not stop the usual suspects from accusing me of an anti-Christian bias. (I won't see those posts anyway because all those people are on my ignore list, largely for doing that exact thing in the past. Texx, George, et al.) Any religious group that decides to: 1. Cherry-pick from its primary holy text as to which 'sins' are applicable in modern society and which are archaic and to be ignored, and 2. Does so in a way that favors bigotry and hate, is a hate group. Where are the voices screaming for an end to shrimp eating? Oh yeah, they can't talk right now; their mouths are full of shrimp. Why are so many Christians so concerned over homosexuality that they don't stop at not practicing it but feel it's their mission to penalize a "sin" through The Law? Isn't there something in Jesus' words about rendering to Caesar etc and isn't there something in our nation's founding docs about separation of Church and State, implying that religious moralities ought not to be brought into our nation's system of law? Whence the Christian War on a mixing of the races? Or in demanding a law in which a man is compelled to marry his brother's wife in the event of his brother's death? Where is the demand for a law against adultery or coveting or respecting ones' parents? This is 10 Commandment stuff; not something buried in one verse. They are cherry-picking and when they do so they choose as their cause homo-bashing, while they ignore the rest of their own Lord's instructions to them. Any organization that does so, anyone that seeks to change the law based on a cherry-picked "sin" (while ignoring other far more serious sins), is a hate group. None of this is anti-Christian; all of it is pro-Christ. For He would have agree with me and called the hypocrites and bigots what they are. CASE CLOSED.
The vitrol being spewed by both sides is pretty horrific and will lead to bad things, it really doesn't serve this country well at all. It was bad before, but the Tea Party movement really took it to a whole new level. What they are doing is creating a lot of anger and hate on both sides and that is really dangerous in the long run. As now both sides really dislike each other that it is interferring with governing the country. But on the Giffords one I agree. It had nothing to do with Palin. It's not the reference to targets or guns that is the trouble, rather is demonizing the other side. Biden's comment isn't helpful....but honestly, Republicans have been playing this game since day 1 of the Obama presidency. At least the libs gave it a chance before devolving into the cess pool.
You are comparing exploitation and criminal behavior towards children to being gay? No wonder there is such a disconnect in this country. What a travesty. It's just really really sad and makes me that more cynical. Do you guys understand now why I spit so much on D&D when I first came here?
You should. You and your ilk have blood on your hands. You are the ones spreading hate in this country.
I think you are all missing the point of this story. 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches!!! Ha!! But seriously, I disapprove of what this person did.
How embarassing. You go out for a killing rampage and get subdued by the first guy you run across, and he's unarmed and wounded to boot. No right-wing nutjob would fail this badly.
