Wrong, stupid beotch. All you can eat does not mean all your fat ass can pile on your plate, take one bite of, throw out full plates and then get more, especially of the same thing.

Otherwise, you could pay for one and then just back u-haul up to the door and pile it in.

Do these sound like the actions of a man who had all he could eat?

The comment she made "you know how kids are" says alot. She accepts no responsibility for her kids behaviour.

I applaud the restaraunt owners actions!!

I'm not saying that these kids don't deserve to be kicked out, but I am tired of the high horse nature of people on this board in regards to other parents. you don't know anything about those kids other than wasting food at a chinese buffet.

this is a stupid, metro story. some of you guys need to chill.

I was gonna quote that too... it's all you can EAT, not all you can TAKE. She did not pay for "unlimited food."

We go to a buffet over here, and I don't always clean my plate...I'm not saying it's half full, but a coulple of bites are left after my second helping...

It is interesting and for one, I agree with the mgmt...It's you're place and you can refuse anyone service...

I'm sure that is the norm. But getting four egrolls, taking a bite from one and throwing the rest away only to get up and get more food is wastefull and not a good thing to teach your children.

Exactly. It is the parents fault for not stepping up and telling the kids they were wrong. I bet if they payed 5 bucks for a regular meal and the kids ate two bites they would be pissed.

I usually go to a Chinese buffet with my uncle's family and his two kids about once a week. They've got a sign listing to eat everything you take and don't waste food. My two cousins, 2 and 4, are really wasteful and will do exactly what is described in the article. They'll get full plates of food and then take a few bites and leave the rest. Their parents will end up then getting them more food so say if they have a plate with dumplings, fried rice and fried shrimp they will only eat the dumplings the parents will then get them more dumplings. So we've often ended up with a lot of food left over. Thankfully we've gotten to know the staff and the waitresses all adore the kids so they haven't kicked us out or complained but I've always felt bad about it to the point that I'll I'll cut back on how much food I get and go ahead and finish some of the food left over from the kids so not so much is wasted.

I figure that when and if I have kids I'm going to make sure they get small portions at a buffet and no ice cream until most of the food on their plates is eaten.

Have you considered getting sashimi instead?

That's the secret to any buffet. Get small portions to start to find what is really good. Then put the hurt on those items.

Man people need to tell their kids to stop wasting food. I like the no ice-cream idea. If that doesn't work, spank your kids people. Can't stand brats that run around all the time and their parents just look at you with the "What can you do ?" face. They just need to learn to instill some respect in their kids somehow. Not always a beating but scolding and raising your voice works for some kids too.

Every Chinese Buffet I've gone to has a rule that they charge you extra for each additional plate that you don't finish. I thought that was the rule that everyone knew about.

YOU FAT BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S NOT A SAMPLE-ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe a better approach would be for the restaurant talking it over to the lady in private in an effort to resolve their differences rather than refusing to serve her and her family outright. I tend to think no rational person would disagree wasting food is bad.

Agreed. I'm pleasantly surprised by the response in this thread; hopefully everyone practices in real life what they preach here as far as waste & conspicuous consumption.

Nice example you are sending to your kids, mom.
They have "reality TV" written all over them.

Some places sell only sushi for the buffet (or maybe like lunchtime has sushi and dinner time has sashimi). Yeah, I always take the rice off too and just eat the fish part, so I can eat more fish. But I understand why the owners would get mad if you did that. Fish is expensive. And generally, anytime you try to exploit the system, people are going to get pissed.

I guess they will have to double the price if they serve sashimi for the buffet. That thing is expensive.
